How many ornaments broken?

lose any ornaments yet?

my tree has been up since friday and i've now got a one legged 'clarice'.....i think that's her name, she's rudolph's girlfriend. i have no idea how he managed to get her off the tree, she was up fairly high.

she broke 3 of her legs riding the wide open ranges of the windowsills

Our tree isn't even decorated yet, and Maggie has been unravelling some of the ubreakable ornaments we have.

None at all! We've had great success with the "touch with one finger" rule (and hung the really special things up high) so no damage to report yet.

Nothing yet......however she did keep wanting to pull off the "necklaces" off the tree last night as I was putting them on. She was really gentle with the others though.

None yet. It's amazing how none get broken when you're too lazy to put the tree up. I'm actually dreading it.

So far, none. :fingerscr We've only had it up since Saturday night, though. Also, we put it up on a table - he'll have to get up there, first. If that happens, then I'm SOL!

Joe hasn't broken any yet. He was very helpful when we were decorating it - he'd take an ornament from the box and say "here mommy!" or "here daddy!" and give it to us. He tried having a couple by himself without much success so he decided this was a much better way to go.

We are having lots of problems with the cat knocking them off, though.

It's been up for less than 48 hours and he's yanked a few off. He just had to have Thomas the Train off. Then there was a car, an Eeyore and a truck, but none have been broken. I have bead garland up and he's tried to yank that off a couple times.

Then he tried to put one of his balls (the bouncing kind for the freaks) on the tree and got really pissed when it wouldn't stay. When can I take it down!?

Well when we were putting the tree up Micayla broke 2. She keeps yanking them off and dropping them. We said okay, enough is enough, stopped decorating and gated off the room. We're going to buy some of those shatter-proof balls today. Not sure if that'll help though. Micayla can't seem to keep her hands off the tree.

Yesterday when I was cleaning before the girls woke up I heard another bulb break. The cat had climbed into the tree and knocked it off. This is going to be a fun year.

Jayden was stepping on the ornaments breaking them while we were putting the tree up He has to pull all the "tandy tanes" down everyday.

My little strange child couldn't care about the tree being up. I even tried to get him to go near it and he wouldn't.

BTW at Nocona and Matthew's balls comment.

Our tree isn't up yet either. We have ALL glass balls that we'll put up higher and our tree will sit on a table. I guess we'll see...it all depends on how she does. We think she'll do good considering she really doesn't get into things...she's a typical & "dainty" girl. We plan on getting our tree sometime this week.

OMG...Kim I am dying. "Riding the open range.."
Nocona..you sick freak!!!! OMG! balls!!!!!

Tree has been up for over a week now and no casualties. And we even have a wood floor under the tree. Aidan has only taken an ornament off it twice...and they were the non breakable kind.

I lost one, but not because of Olivia. Damn hubby just didn't hang it on securely. I left the bottom 1/3 of the tree bare of ornaments, I put bows on instead.

I'm wondering how long it will be before I see pine needles in the diaper though?

We don't have ours up yet this year and we didn't have one last year due to a big move. I'll let everyone in on a little secret from two years ago, though: My mil gives us ugly ornaments every year. I purposely hung those where Jake and the cat could reach them two years ago.

The ornaments that we want to save from the cat are tied on with green thread. She can't bat them off then. By the time the tree goes out, enough needles have fallen off that we can snip the threads easily.

:fingerscr Nothing yet. We're lucky though cause she keeps taking the ornaments within reach off the tree.
