When did you move your toddler to a "big kid" bed?

Hey all,
I was just wondering when you switched your toddler from the crib to a big kid bed?

Jack is 2 1/2 and he's still in his crib. We've tried the big bed but he just won't go to sleep by himself in it.

Maggie was just over a year old. She had a really hard time with the crib (and rarely slept in it)

If at all possible, I plan to keep Katie in her crib much, much longer.

Micayla was about 14 months. She wouldn't sleep in the crib. It worked out nicely since we had #2 when Micayla was 15 months so we didn't need to buy another crib.

We moved Sierra when she was about 16 months old. She wasn't sleeping much in her crib anyway.

Sean is 17 months old and I intend to keep him in his crib as long as possible.

We're in both and Lexie is almost 2 1/2 years old. She loves her crib and seems to move around SO much during the night. She has a toddler bed down the shore, but I have to make sure I have the bed rail up.

Joe is 2 1/2 and still in his crib. He's perfectly happy and sleeps great so no reason to mess around. It converts to a toddler bed (the front side comes off and you put on a rail) so at some point we'll do that.

In about 3 weeks, when it arrives. She's outgrowing the crib, lengthwise, so it's time simply for comfort's sake if nothing else.

Alexia's 26 1/2 mos and she's still in her crib. She sleeps fine in it, doesn't try to climb out, etc. Hers converts to a toddler bed so whenever the time comes we can always do that. I plan for her to convert to the toddler bed sometime before baby #2 comes.

Well, at 9 months we moved her to a futon on the floor. We just moved her last week to a toddler bed, making more floor space in her room since we'll now have her sisters' toys in there, too! She's 2 and a half.

We put Eliot in his toddler bed when he was 18 months and changed him to his twin size bed (with a rail) at 2 1/2 yrs old.

Brooke is a jewel in the rough
We tried Rebekah in a twin bed right around her 2nd birthday. She wouldn't stay in it for more than 1/2 hr and wouldn't go to sleep by herself. So the crib went back up and she's still in it (at 28 months). The bed is up, too, and she never asks to sleep there.

We moved Cameron to a "blanket-made" bed on the floor at 12 months - he had never slept in his crib at night and was now refusing to sleep in it for naps. He loved the bed on the floor, but I felt bad for letting our son sleep on the floor so we moved him into a toddler bed (which converts to a regular twin bed) at 14 months. He loves his bed, has only fallen out twice, and finally sleeps through the night.

Ellie will be 2 1/2 next week and is still in her crib. We have a toddler bed set up. She's slept in it a couple times, but she does so great in her crib, meaning she sleeps almost 12 hours at night. Why mess with a good thing?
