Teething and diaper rash
Alex is teething molars right now and has the worst diaper rash. I know some (including my ped) think the correlation is a wives tale. I don't. The only time that Alex gets a rash like this is while teething. Right now he is miserable. Thankfully he's at my mom's this week so he can spend a lot of time without a diaper. I've been applying a prescription rash med that helps. No juice, no fruit, nothing that could affect his rash. In fact, noodles, potatoes and bananas have been a mainstay for meals.
Anyone else? And what do you do for your little one?

I don't care what anyone says, I think there *IS* a coorrelation!
Gab has only ever had bad diaper rash when she cut teeth. Now she has a nasty yeast rash, but I'm not sure that's related. She does seem to be drooling alot again, so maybe cutting more teeth ![]() We let her run around nude too, which she loves. I use Burt's Bees diaper cream to rid the nasty red rash and it works really well. Now she has a precription for the yeast, but only ever other diaper change. We use the BBs every other and all the redness is gone. It's just the whiteness still there from the yeast. |
