Clothing for Big Babys
I am so frustrated with the clothing industry
Adam is a big chunky baby. He is wearing 18 months clothes just so it fits him around the waist but it is too long on him. I mean it looks like he is swiming in his clothes but if I go down a size it is too tight around the waist and even the one piece rompers don't work as they won't fit around his thighs. What is a mom suppose to do? Last edited by Kris : May 31st, 2004 at 09:37 PM. |

I feel your pain Kris. I went through the same thing with Joshua and now with Kyle.

I know how you feel...though we have the opposite problem. To keep up pants Janelle needs size 3-6 months, but in length she needs 18 months, so her clothes are either way to big or way to small nothing fits...she basically has to wear either overalls or dresses as nothing else will work. We are already running to the same problem with Caid, he is skinny enough (despite being in the 90th percentile for weight) to wear preemie waist band stuff still (still in 0-3 month onesies) but he's outgrown all his 0-3 month pants/long sleeved stuff in length and even some of the 3-6 month stuff now (he isn't even close to being on the charts in height)...sadly though, I can't just put him in dresses.
