Baby acne?
Is there anything I can do for this? Poor Ava has it pretty bad on her cheeks.

Can't do very much about it, but it will go away in time. I asked my doc about lotions, soaps, etc. etc. and she said nothing but water to clean your DC's face. Anya had it for about 1.5 months, and then one day..nothing. If it's really, really bad, they may give you a steroid cream but tend to stay away from putting anything on a NB's face.

I think most people don't really use anything. But I have heard of quite a few people who've used a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil on it. I'd probably call the girls Ped to see what he says.

Madelynn has her 2 year checkup and Ava her 2 month check up, on the 13th, so I'll just ask then! ![]() |

Everyone says not to use anything...it will clear up on its own (its just hormones in her that cause it).
Regardless, I use Cetaphil to wash the kids' faces b/c it is much more gentle than baby wash. Then we moisturize it with Teeny Faces (Gerber).
