QOTD: Friday, November 6th

You are going out to dinner to celebrate a special occasion! Where do you go, and what do you order?

King's Arms Tavern in Williamsburg! I'd get the cucumber salad and the "Fancy Dish of Seafood." Followed by strawberry puffs for dessert.

If it has to be in town, then a restaurant in Little Italy that DH and I go to once in awhile. I'd get some kind of shrimp dish. Or an Irish pub that I like, and I'd get the fish and chips.

I'd take my hubby to Carrabba's and get the Chicken Bryan. So delish!

Funny you asked this.. we're going tomorrow night to celebrate Matt getting his Associate's Degree, with the IL's. We're going to a place near here called Le Chene. It's a fancy French place and sooo delish. I'll have a drink.. not sure what yet. The wine will be flowing for sure since we're with the IL's. They'll order escargot and stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. I'll have Filet Mignon Rouqefort (with pureed summer squash), salad and then for dessert Creme Brulee. Yummy.. I can't wait!

Someplace italian- perhaps Zarletti's - that has a pumpkin or squash ravioli in a brown butter sage sauce. And good wine. Oh yummmm.

I'd go to San Chez and get lots of good goodies. Like bruschetta, olives, yummy flank steak with tortellini and manchego cream. And sangria.

Anywhere that's expensive with lots of seafood .... I'd order the "lots of seafood" platter and crisp white wine

I can't name one place. For special occasions, I like to try new places and different meals.

Depends on what we want to eat. We haven't celebrated anything in a while.

I'm not sure, we have so many choices around here. I'm with some others, it depends on our mood.

Palisade at the Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle - http://www.palisaderestaurant.com/page/home

Paul and I were engaged here and it's SOOO good. Start off with the pupu tower, then anything from the From The Sea menu....followed by the trio of creme brulee. Served with a pitcher of guavaritas!

We'd most likely go here: http://www.wildhorsecafe.com/ The menu changes so much that I don't have a "go to" meal at this place, but I always start with a carmel apple martini.

If we went today I'd get the Roasted Ginger Crimson Pear to start, then the Slow Roasted Smokey Pork, and the Wood Grilled Banana for dessert.

Sometimes we go and just sit in the bar - and there is a chicken sandwich on the bar menu that has a roasted poblano mayo that is one of the best things I've ever eaten. YUM
