Hi! I'm headed to TotSwap tonight or possibly tomorrow morning. I'm selling a boatload of the kids' outgrown clothes and a few toys they are not interested in and/or have outgrown. I was going to go tomorrow and then meet Rob for lunch since he works across the street, but he has jury duty tomorrow and won't be there unless his number isn't called. His number is low, 91 or thereabouts, so he's probably going to have to go. We aren't usually the lucky ones who get out of that kind of thing (although I always do for being a SAHM).

I'm mainly looking for a Christmas outfit for Sean, a winter coat for Sean, and winter stuff for both kids. Sarah's winter coat from last year fits, so she is okay there. She could use some snow boots, but she has a wide foot so I doubt I'll find a fitting pair. Sean has some hand-me-down boots we got from a friend. I'm also going to peruse their DVDs in hopes of finding some cheap ones we can maybe use as stocking stuffers.

Oh, and tonight I'm going to an autism support group. Last month's group gave some hugely helpful information, and I'm hoping for more of that tonight. SIL is watching the kids.

That reminds me, they are supremely low on clean clothes, so I'd better get some laundry done!

We're trying to start wedding through things already.. so today I'm planning to hit the garage and purge!! We'll have a garage sale on Saturday and I'm hoping we get rid of tons of crap! Whatever doesn't sell is being donated. Last night we got rid of a bookshelf.. for $25!! And I'd had it since high school, so I was stoked to get so much $$ for it!

I'm having a mini-celebration here. I just finished scrubbing and sealing the grout in the tile that covers all of my home except bedrooms. It's been a two week project. BUT IT'S FINISHED. Woo-hoo!

We got a new roof this week! The old one was a shake shingle type deal & not as safe in cases of fire/wild fire. The crew has been doing all of the townhouses in our HOA. They seem to have been really good! They said that it could take up to 15 business days from when they start but they started our roof on Monday & seem to be pretty much done with our portion already. I thought the process would be much worse & that the noise would be horrendous but it really hasn't been that bad (Amelia was able to sleep through it & I could have a few days ago). The guys are still here since there are parts of the building they haven't finished yet. Of course, they will be around & there will be noise but it will be on the other buildings in our complex.

We increased Amelia to full days at preschool (still Tuesdays & Thursdays). The first day I didn't know what to do with all that time. Then we had a few days that were broken up. This is the first week that I didn't have Amelia related things to do during that time. It's been nice since I've been able to work a bit more on my Etsy biz & get some things done around the house.

Wow, lots of productivity going on, well done everyone!

Wish I could say the same for me, I have had a hard time getting my body and mind back into "regular" mode after our little weekend getaway to the theme parks last weekend.

It's Friday here and I am relieved it's the end of the school week, as we are approaching the end of our school year it's been one activity after another, this week is mission week so I have been baking for the cake sales and the boys have been coming home with their hair spray painted, look at this disaster

this weekend we are spending time at the hospital with the boys friend to lift her spirits, she has been down lately

Then we have 2 birthday parties to go to and after all that, I am going to try to slip away with my friend Todd to watch the Michael Jackson movie.

And to just finish off I am adding this photo just cause I think it's cute my boys

I just got back from getting my teeth cleaned. Why is it that the the lady cleaning my teeth always wants to have major conversations with me while my mouth is agape? And, when I went to check out, there was a huge bowl of candy by the desk! I've never seen that before at a dentist's office!

What a shame that Riley isn't looking in that photo, Deb! It's great, but would have been perfect if Riley was facing the camera.

I desperately need to do some housework today. I've been busy all week, volunteering at school as well as attending two funerals and the house has suffered for it.

Tonight Emily and I have to work at a dancing fundraiser, tomorrow night we are going to the Britney Spears concert (don't know whether that deserves a or smilie!) and on Sunday she has a competition. I'm sure by Monday my house will be even more of a pigsty and I'll be too exhausted to do anything with it!

I know, the only one I got all of them looking at the camera has Lucas looking like this!

That's his regular "smile for the camera" face I can't get him to smile normally the little bugger!!

Sorry to hear about 2 funerals! Who passed away?

Lucas looks so much like you in that one, Deb!

Both funerals were fathers of friends. One of them I'd never met, but I've been friends with his daughter for 10 years so I went to support her. The one yesterday was harder, that was Alex's best friend from high school's Dad (holy run on sentence, batman!). He was like a second dad to Alex and I knew him well and it was really sad .

Mason is playing hockey in between periods at our local OHL team tonight, and I have to miss it because Graham was sent home with a fever from daycare! He was a wreck when I got home; mostly because Patrick double dosed him with Tylenol and Motrin at the same time, not staggered! He seems fine now.

I'm hoping the game will be on the local cable network and that they will show Mason's team playing, so I set the DVR to record it just in case.

I met the craziest woman at work yesterday. I was her union rep for a meeting and she worked herself up into such a state that she claimed she was having a heart attack and left in an ambulance. She's known to be crazy, but this was the first time I ever met her and I was traumatized by her.

Deb, cute pic!
Amy, I hope you score some good deals.
Clare, I'm sorry to hear of the funerals.
Karly, they are probably trying to get rid of Halloween candy.
Kelley, maybe you can come clean my floors and then hit Clare's place?
Alyson, good luck with the garage sale.
Melissa, I hope you got it out of your system!

Oh that's tough, Clare. Give my condolences to Alex.

Do you really think he looks like me? Funny, I am so used to everyone telling me he looks like Tony's brother

Bev, give patrick a smack over the head, how can he be so careless!

Deb - that pic of the boys is so cute! I can't believe how big they are all getting.

I'm debating about call my dr. to get myself an appt. today. I've had this cough all week and Chad wants me to go in. I'm just always hesitant to take myself in for the dr., because I'm afraid it's just going to be the common cold and nothing else and that seems like a waste.

I hear you, Trish. "Just a virus" is what they say to me and I'm out $25. But sometimes, especially this time of year, you have to go just to be sure.
I have had my cough for over 2 weeks and while it's annoying it's not really bothering me or keeping me up at night.

I'm looking towards a busy weekend here. Today I have my rheumatology appt, which means 6-8 tubes of bloodwork. Always fun. Then I need to start getting ready for my trip with Riley because next week will be too busy to take time to do things. So my goal this weekend is to grocery shop for the next 2 weeks so David doesn't take Jacob and Owen out to eat for every meal. Then I need to finish little projects like Riley's journals, a tshirt and then pack. I also need to go get cash for tips, count and wrap change and take to the bank, finish David's day-by-day schedule and maybe clean the house and pray they don't trash it too much while I'm gone. I also need to confirm our reservations, decide if I'm buying new luggage and if I'm trying to pack all carryons or checking luggage. etc etc etc.

AARGH

I'm going to desperately need this vacation just getting ready for the vacation.

I am slumped in my desk chair in relief because we FINALLY sold our old house today! The crazy buyer had changed his mind about four different times and was making up all sorts of lies about how he was going to "become a statistic of the economy" (after telling our agent that he'd just gotten a promotion and taken over all these new territories for his company) so we basically had no clue until they showed up at the walk through this morning whether they were going to go through with it or not. I'm so relieved mainly for James, who has been so stressed out I'm shocked I didn't have to call an ambulance for him. Now we can actually ENJOY our new house, instead of worrying about if we can pay for it.

Then tomorrow I'm taking Caroline to a Girl Scout event while James exchanges our cable box at the cable company because the display is all messed up.

That is certainly worth celebrating!

This is a calmer weekend than most, and I feel like I don't know what to do with myself! Mind you we still have:
  • birthday party 6pm tonight
  • soccer end-of-season bowling party 6:30pm tonight (so we're probably skipping #1 or going after bowling, if they're still hanging around)
  • birthday party 2pm tomorrow
  • babysitting swap tomorrow night and it's not my turn to watch and Joe swapped shifts so we are hopefully going out to dinner
  • soccer "Halloween" jamboree (kids wear costumes not their uniforms) Sunday morning - 6 games between 8am-11am...then the rest of the day is FREE!
This is seriously like half of the plans from the past two weekends so I'm excited that I can maybe read my book! (American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld.)

I love when the kids play mid-game. It's so cute. A lot of times they play the "Charlie Brown" theme music which makes it even funnier. (Have I mentioned that our good friend is the director of officiating for the OHL? So don't yell at the refs at those games. )
