Dr. Jodi Mindell--pediatric sleep expert

Anyone familiar with Dr. Mindell's sleep advice? I'm considering buying her book (to add to my pile ) and thought I'd ask here first.

Depends on your beliefs - she pretty much says the same stuff as Jill's sleep thread on UB. She also does alot of the sleep-related articles on BabyCenter.com and ParentCenter.com , so maybe you could check there first to see her thoughts.

Thanks, Anne...those sites are where I came across her name...but I couldn't really get a sense of her theories.

Now this is totally not helpful at all, but I am convinced that she went to my elementary and middle school. There was a girl there named Jodi Mindell, about 5 or 6 years older than me which would make her 34 or 35 now... I MUST find a bio on this woman and find out if it's really her!!

Oh! And on the helpful side, she seems to subscribe to the 5 in/5 out, controlled crying school of thought.
