Got Gas??

GOT GAS????

My daughter McKenna (1 month) is a Gas Machine.. may it be burping or farting.. I have tried everything that I can think of!

What did you have to change in your diet? What did you do to help them?

My first daughter Marissa didn't have nearly as much gas as McKenna does.

Hahaha...Bran farts all the time...I just chalked it up to genetics because his daddy does it too. Blech.

Have you tried giving her Mylicon drops, I find them to work wonders. With my first dayghter, she got horrible gas if I ate broccoli or chineese food, so I have not eaten any of those this time around.

Melayna had it really bad the first 2 months or so. She's constantly be burping and of course almost always spitting up at the same time too. I just tried to cut back on dairy and the known gas causing foods. But around 3 months or so she was much better. Hopefully McKenna will be too.

my neice is a week old and my sister just found out that she should be completely emptying one side before moving on to the other; something about the hind milk helping with digestion.

Good luck!

Amy

Thanks!

I had to give up milk. Sloane can handle the processed dairy, but not milk itself for some reason. Broccoli also gives it to her badly. Mostly though, I just let her get it out, either with some Mylicon, pushing up a bit on her legs, or laying her across my lap and burping her. I also had to give up caffeine - but that was because she was up for HOURS!!!!!

Oh my....both babies have gas. Elliott strains to toot, but Norah...man oh man..it smells sooooo bad! I keep telling her that girls are supposed to be dainty!!
Both get Mylicon drops and I try to watch what I eat, though I am having a hard time with craving chocolate. But other than that, I dont like dairy, dont drink sode/caffiene, am not eating spicy stuff....

Hiya Britt

Zoe ALWAYS had gas... and it didn't seem to matter WHAT I ate... I just couldn't find a connection. We just dealt with it, unfortunately, and she eventually grew out of it. I think it got lots better around 3 months or so. There were only a few times that it was SO bad she cried. The rest of the time it just gave us the giggles.. because she could really clear a room!
