Your kids quirks...
Yesterday when I picked Dylan up from pre-school he had his pants on backwards and his shoes on the wrong feet. I didn't even have to question why, I knew that after he went potty he put them back on that way. He loves doing this. Crazy kid!
I know it started when he started wearing his big boy undies and all the characters were on the backside. He wanted to see them so he'd put them on backward. It had progressed to his pants now too. I can only wonder what the teachers thought. Please tell me that my kid isn't the only strange one and share some of your kiddos strange quirks.

Nick's favorite food is beef. Beef anything. Last night, he went to get his H1N1 shot, and he was so good, I told him he could have some ice cream when we got home. He said, "Beef, please." It used to be cheese we'd have to bribe him with when he got shots. He had to get blood drawn when he turned one, and that was a miserable experience. Even the techs were going, "It's ok baby, you can go home and get some cheese now!" I feel like a weirdo telling him if he's good while he's getting his shot, he can go home and have beef soup...it sounds like I don't feed him if he's not good, rather than being a reward.

Last summer I got REALLY tired of people telling me that his crocs were on the wrong feet. Really, as long as he's dressing himself, I don't care. ![]()

Seamus nearly always puts his shoes on the wrong feet and nothing I can say or do can convince him otherwise. Of course, I still try to tell him each time. But I no longer force a change.
Colin, though, is my quirkiest child. His quirks go in phases. This week he will not go to school without a button down shirt.

Oh my, this could take some time
Aden is my quirky kid. He can only wear thin socks and they have to be on straight, or it bothers him. He has to give everyone a hug and a kiss before they leave, or he has a fit. Actually, he is getting better w/this, but when he was little it was bad. He has to go downstairs w/me in the am to let the dogs out.

This one reminded me that Maggie will not let me kiss her unless she kisses me back. If I kiss her a bunch of times, she will count, and then kiss me once more (just in case). It gives me a little pleasure to kiss her when she is sleeping because then I WIN!!!!! ![]()

Sean loves to carry something in each hand, especially his sister's comb and brush. It's so funny because he'll grab something in each hand and parade about the house.
Sarah has a ton of them. So many to list....she prefers being naked at all times. I could handle this much better if she were potty trained. If we are at a restaurant, she MUST have her portable DVD player. This is something we started a while ago to keep her busy, but now it's a necessity. I forgot it when we went out to lunch today, and after a ton of screaming on her part, she agreed to watch Elmo videos on YouTube on Rob's iphone. Then we heard her happy scream a few times, but oh well... Sarah has a ton more, but my brain isn't working well right now so I can't think of any! |
