Fun party idea

We just got an invitation to an adults-only "celebration of our first year of parenthood." A couple whose baby is turning one is hosting a night out to celebrate. Cute idea, huh?!

At first I thought it was a little strange but I'm liking it the more I think about it. But I wonder if we should bring some type of gift? Not a birthday present but some sort of acknowledgement for the parents? Something fun/cute? The party is at a bar/club/restaurant type of place.

That's kind of neat. There are all kinds of things done to celebrate other milestones in life & this one is definitely worth celebrating. If you can think of a fun gift, sure. I'm guessing that it wouldn't be expected since it sounds more about the celebration of a milestone & having fun with other adults.

What a cute idea. I would probably bring a small "fun" gift.

Heck, a bottle of champagne would be appropriate. So would a bottle of asprin!

I love Kelley's ideas But my first thought was a kids book that you liked with your kids for them to read to the now one year old.
