At a loss for words

I dont know if this is the right forum to post this in..I guess it is..

I just saw my friends facebook status. Last year she had twins 1 was compeltely healthy and 1 had major health problems. I cant remember what the disease was called but most babies with it dont live past the age of 4. She had been in and out of the hospital and had some surgeries the past month and was doing well. However I just saw on my friends facebook status that her daughter died yesterday. I dont even know what to say to her. I never got a chance to meet her kids but her daughter was definately beautiful in her own special way. Im at a complete loss at what to say to her right now.

How awful.

My heart is definitely with your friend's family right now. Even though she was sick and it wasn't a surprise....a loss like this is always a tragedy.

makes me realize that even though my children were not planned at all how LUCKY I am to have 2 beautiful almost completely healthy (theres a thing about anika in the ' our kids diagnosis' thread) children. I still have not stopped crying since I read her status on fb

Having watched my parents lose their daughter, I can pretty much guarantee that there isn't anything worse.

I was talking to another friend last night when I couldnt sleep and we were talking about the fact that shes a twin. On one hand shes lucky to have her little boy still completely healthy, but on the other hand it must be a constant reminder of Taylor for her now. It was I-cell disease that she had.

I know this is different but my husband's cousin died a few years back..he was 25 and a twin. He died in his plane..

that said when Dan's Aunt looks at the twin she is constantly reminded of Lance who died and from that memory she smiles. She see's lance every day through Jason and feels blessed.

Right now how heartbreaking to loose their little girl.

I never thought of it that way. Maybe once everythings settled down if I talk to her and she mentions anything Ill mention that story. I sent her a message this morning saying Im very sorry and I cant imagine what she must feel like right now and gave her my cell number but besides that I dont really know
