Okay, this may not be the right forum, but, here goes... I'm almost 5 months pp and have yet to see AF... I'm breastfeeding, but not exclusively, however, I did have a Mirena installed in January. I'm so terrified I'm going to turn up pregnant. Have any of you had any of the same type of issues? I got AF back at a little before 5 months after my son, and I bf'd him exclusively longer than the girls.... Should I just test and get it out of my system or wait? I've had some slight spotting, kinda like I did when I was pregnant with the twins - old blood type.. (sorry, TMI)... Any suggestions?

I would go ahead and test just to get it out of your system. I think thats the only way you will feel better.

Yeah, I know.. I just hate to waste the HPT.. :lol:... and if it's positive, I don't know WHAT I'll do... I mean... :banghead: Its not like I haven't taken precautions :lol:

I say go ahead and test too. AF took 12 or 13 weeks to return for me and that was a long time compared to my first two pregnancies (Victoria BF for firts couple of weeks, Lauren and Alex both bottle fed from the beginning). Jim had a vasectomy in December but was freaking out so I took the test just to ease his mind. I hated wasting the HPT too but it calmed him down.

seriously, if you're freaking that much just test! it will take a load off your shoulders (or put more on!)

Kim - I sent my last test out with the last swap because I was "never gonna need it again" either.. heh.. Guess I may just drag all three kids down to wally-world and buy a pregnancy test :doh: I can only IMAGINE what the cashier will think.. :lol:

I breastfed and had the Mirena. It made my periods stop! So it could be a combination of bfing and having the Mirena!!
