So do you have an upcoming appointment? This may be a good place to keep a running lsit of appointments and possibly results. I know I do this over at UB and I love having it to look back at!

Our Infertility Appointments 2004

February 2nd ~ 1st Re appointment
What we found out:
The plan for me is starting with my next cycle (I am at CD19 I think) I have to take 100 mg of clomid days 3-7, starting tomorrow I have to take 30 mg 1x daily of Actos (instead of glucophage, this has no upper/lower GI side effects) and I take this until otherwise told. I then go in for a mid-cycle u/s to see how these 2 medications worked together and on that same day I am having a Sonohystogram Biopsy to check out inner part of my uterine wall. ( I think this is where he is checking for endo and fibroids) I have been perscribed Zithromax 250 mg which I have to take the morning of that procedure.

Dr. Dodds said that once we get these thing checked out and Mike's S/A results back we will move onto the next step!.

My first RE appointment is February 5. Can anyone tell me what to expect?

I have an HSG scheduled for 1/14.

As far as my first RE appointment, it was mostly her asking us a lot of questions. I had brought with me copies of previous lab results and my charts. She basically sent me for a lot of blood work and DH for a sperm analysis. He had one w/ his regular doctor (which came out normal) but the one she ordered was much more detailed and showed he had some problems with mortality (too many sperm died w/in a 24 hour period). Expect a lot of questions about your medical history and prob a lot of blood work.

Thanks Renee! I already had an HSG with my ob/gyn so I'm hoping they don't make me get another.

My next RE appointment is January 24th for our second IUI. :)

Becky,
My first RE appointment was mainly answering questions that the RE asked me. Before I went, I wrote down lots of info (average cycle length, when I usually ovulated, how long we had been trying, tests we had already had, and the doses of Clomid I had). I also took some samples of my charts. It helped me to have that info so I didn't leave anything out. My RE took notes, asked more questions, and then discussed his "plan of action." He began by ordering many blood tests and another S/A.
I hope your first appointment goes well.

Our appt. is for May 12th - that's the first we could get in. I do have an OB appt. next week, though. My DH will also be scheduling a S/A very soon.

Hi all!!

I just had my annual with my OBGYN and she decided that it is time to do some IF testing due to lack of PG and my past history

A little background: Went off BCP in Jan '03. Had irregular spotting and had cryotherapy on my cervix in May. Started TTC again in June. So a total of about 9 mos TTC.

I start OPKs tomorrow and will have my Progesterone level tested when I get my ++. Then after my next period, I will have an ultrasound due to more spotting (looking for polyps or cysts). Just had my thyroid retested today (I am hypothyroid) to see if my dose needs to be increased. Steve will go for an S/A. My dad is a urologist but he refuses to let my dad assess his boys  Then I go for an HSG next cycle somewhere in CD6-11. Lots of poking and proding :bawl:

I have to call my insurance company to see where I can get my tests done. I know that they cover all the testing and procedures but they are picky where they are done at.

I had hoped to never be on this side, but I am happy that I will have some awesome girls to share this with :rahrah:

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

I think I had the same biopsy done earlier this year for bad spotting (either uterus or cervix???). Make sure you take some pain meds before and after the procedure. It just felt like bad cramping. I really hope that you respond to the new treatment!!

I hope you don't all mind me jumping in here......

DH has had 2 s/a-the first one his numbers were normal, but on the lower end, Dr. thought it had to do with him being sick and on meds. He did another last week and his numbers are all great. I've had blood work done and have to have a progesterone blood test tomorrow to determine if I've ovulated. I've also had an endometrium biopsy that came back normal.

Best of luck to you all!

Good luck Ana & Susan!!

Forgot to tell everyone that this is my first month of Clomid. According to my charts and OPKs I do ovulate on my own, but according to the progesterone, it is a "weak" ovulation. We are hoping that the Clomid gives it a kick!

Well my progesterone came back ok-Dr. left me a message at home tonight. I have to call tomorrow to talk to her about the next steps, which I think is checking my tubes to be sure there is no blockage.

Good luck ladies.
