When is your "me" time?

mine is usually at night after everyone is asleep...i am a night owl so it works out OK..Nap time I try to get some work done, when i do work..which I have been really bad about lately..Occasionally I use nap time to get online..Although there are times I feel I get no "me" time at all!!!

My ' me' time is when Emma is napping (like now :) ) Also, DH often take her out with him on Saturday monring as he runs errands. In the evening after I put her to bed, it depends. Sometimes we have couple time and sometimes I have me time.

I take advantage of "me" time when Brendan goes to bed, which is fortunately between 8 and 9. Now, with a newborn on the way, my "me" time will be severely cut I'm sure...

I have to say, this is not really a part of my life these days. Before Ciaran was born I'd get "me" time when Brigit napped, but now it only happens on the extremely rare occasion that both kids nap at once. The closest thing I get to it is getting some computer time while Ciaran naps and Brigit plays by herself for a bit (like right now, for example! :aok: )

Hopefully when Ciaran starts sleeping through the night I won't be so tired and I can stay up for a bit after the kids go to bed and have a little time for myself. (That's my dream, at least!) But as Shawn keeps reminding me, I'll have lots of "me" time once the kids are grown .... and when that happens I'll probably miss these good old days! I try to keep that in mind so I don't get too frustrated!

I get little right now once Rebecca is down for the night I go to bed and nap when her and Brendan are, so one of them is up with me all the time.

However I do plan on getting a gym membership or take a class or something to get out of the house and away from the kiddos for a while.

Yup! I also remind myself that I had 29 years of me time before Jake came along. I can give him this little bit of time. :)

But, everyone does need a few minutes alone a day to avoid insanity. :lol: Mine comes after Jake goes to bed. I get a little time with my husband and a little time by myself.

I get a my 'me' time and my DH time after DD goes to bed. And on Sundays, I get to sleep in as late as I want because DH gets up with DD. Last Sunday I didn't get up until 10:00 am! Bliss!

Usually when the kids are sleeping - so naptime in the afternoon, and after 9 pm. Then DH usually has to be out of the house for it to really count as ME time, so when he goes and plays pool in the evening I get an hour or so to myself.

When DH works night shift, I like that a lot. A whole evening to myself. Sometimes I stay up till three.

Right now my “me” time is when I’m at work! It sucks! I’d love to have some time to myself when I don’t have to do anything for anybody and can do what I want for a change.

I don't get "me" time, unless I ask for it. But I am really ok with that. I work full time and then want to spend all my time with Cameron when I get home. Most nights he doesn't go to bed until 9:30/10:00 and by then I am ready to zonk out myself. The only thing I am trying to change is for him to go to bed a little earlier so my DH and I could have some time to ourselves.

Aidan goes to daycare on Mon & Weds, so my "me" time is when the twins are napping on those days. When he is home, the naps never overlap...I'd only be so lucky. right now I am in his playroom and he is playing, so I am able to jump online for a few minutes.....

I am seriously craving some me time. I am thinking that this weekend, I may walk to the coffee shop a couple blocks away just to get some time to myself.

I get about an hour of "me" time after DD goes to bed. Then DH and I try to get some us time before we both go to bed.

On Saturdays, DH takes Lauryn to Gymboree and a lunch date so I get me time between 10:45 until 2:15 p.m. I pick her up at 2:15 then DH gets his time until 6 p.m. Every few Sundays, I go to a scrapclub from 1-4 p.m.

I do some of my me time at work as well. During lunch, I eat at my desk, surf and return calls.

It's so great to have a "scheduled" me time- I think we should have started that much sooner but I used to think that I had to be around for everything and I felt guilty for taking time for myself. I used to steal the me time when everyone was off to bed. I'd be up until the wee hours of the morning in UB and I'd make myself so sick for staying up so late!

After 8 pm when Amelia goes to sleep. DH either works late or is at a meeting most nights, so I get to play around on the computer or watch tv! I LOVE it!

After the girls are in bed is my me time...Dh is getting ready for work (works nights) and stuff, so I can surf (or whatever). Also, sometimes during the day if the girls are playing somewhat content, or if they nap at the same time ( :lol: ), then I can steal a few minutes.

I usually take a bath while Alfredo handles the kids at night. Some nights I will get on the computer for 30 minutes or an hour after dinner. Alfredo is pretty good about watching both kids as long as Alexis has a full tummy.

My 'me' time is after DH and DD are asleep. They are usually asleep around 10-11. I dont go to bed until around 1. I really dont mind cleaning in that time because I feel like I can get things done. DH takes DD when he comes home from work but its not quite the same as when they are asleep. DH lets me sleep in on weekends since hes off. He wakes up with DD around her 6am feeding, I dont get up till noon.

after everyone is in bed :) ofcourse some nights it isn't for long though because my daughter still wakes up at night. I also have time alone in the mornings during the week since I work. my dad and his wife watch the kids occasionally overnight so DH and I can have some time alone too.
