Okay, I've been buying diapers and I feel like I've spent so much money already.

I can't wait to do this!

Hey Brandi!

I've actually decided to give cloth a try again. I used Fuzzi Bunz with Peyton for about 3-4 months but then she outgrew them and I didn't feel like buying more so I slipped back into disposables.

My sister is a cloth diaper freak so she's helping build up some NB stuff that is easy so I won't give up. I really need it to be simple for me to keep doing it.

What diapers are you going to be using?

Oh, isn't it addicting?? But oh so fun!!

Welcome to the Dark side!! Bwwaahaaa! No it really is an addiction, I have revamped my stash about 4 times now and I finally have it they way I like it. Unfortunately the way I like it is expensive so I've been selling things on ebay to feed my addiction. It's so fun to see those cute little diapers on my babies bum

Jennie - I know - I couldn't imagine seeing all the new diapers come through my house all the time. How dooooo you do it?

Jenn - COOL! So far, I have (or have ordered) a bunch of fuzzi bunz, some kissaluvs, and a few other odds and ends. I heard those are some of the best to use with newborns. I am not sure about the prefolds. They are much cheaper, but I'm worried about them. I do have some, but I don't have anything to hold them down with - like pins or snappis of whatever they are called. I think I'll have around 24 diapers when they are all counted up.

Carla - thanks - you've been a great help so far!

Christy - so what exactly do you like? I have never done this before so I don't know what I will like. I know people really like the fuzzi bunz, but they don't have any (or many) in cute prints. Those are the ones I am eyeing! I just don't know a whole lot about those kinds and I wanted to start out with something that I was sure would work.

Brandi, I like the FBs best! I rarely (if ever) had leaks. I also like my fancypants A LOT!! Some people seem to have problems with the pocket diapers and BF poop (not sure if you are planning to BF), but I never did. Little Lambs are great too (but they run SMALL). I tried prefolds with covers (no snappies or pins), Bumpkins AIO (didn't like them much with the BF poops), kissaluvs work great with covers. To me though, the convience and fit of a pocket diaper was why I bought only FBs after trying the others (then branched out to other diapers after becoming addicted to the cuteness factor).

Hey Brandi, if you want to try out a prefold, I *think* you can still get a snappi for free from their website. I'll check...

Nope. :( But I'll check to see if I still have one, and if I do, I'll send it to you if you want. I used prefolds on Katie a bit, and they worked great. Even DH got the hang of using them with a snappi. But with a newborn, all you really will have to do is fold the diaper into a cover and it should be fine. It's when they start crawling and walking that you really need a snappi.

I still have a huge stash of diapers, but we're using Pull-Ups now because we're trying to potty train. I HATE it. :( I want to go back to cloth diapering, but I don't want to put Katie back in actual diapers, just in case she decides she wants to use the potty (I want to make it as easy as possible for her). And I'm having trouble finding trainers that I like. But for a while there (a few of the ladies in here can attest to this) I was a full-fledged addict! However, the addiction can be dangerous - there are some expensive diapers out there! :faint:

For example, I ADORE Fuzbaby stuff, but it's very, very pricey and hard to get. It's gorgeous, but I wouldn't spend the amount it costs for ONE diaper and cover set on a full outfit for myself.

However, a few of my favorites are:
Bizzy B Hive (www.bizzybhive.com) ~ AIOs
First Class Baby (www.fluffymail.com) ~ fitted diapers
Sugarpeas (www.sugarpeas.com) ~ diapers and esp. their wool covers. REALLY nice.
Little Turtle Knits (www.littleturtleknits.com) ~ soakers
Natural Babies (www.naturalbabies.com) ~ prefolds, snappis, Burt's Bees diaper cream (doesn't stain cloth diapers)
Righteous Baby (www.righteousbaby.com) ~ FLAG diapers (fitteds) and Shell Sets (AIOs)
Darling Diapers (www.darlingdiapers.com) ~ wipes

Adding a little fuel to your budding addiction!

I love alot of different kinds of diapers and have tried alot. Annemarie named alot of the different kinds that I have tried but I do have some that I like more than others.

www.muttaqinbaby.com - she makes one-size diapers that will fit about 10-30lbs. Love them! they are actually very trim and fit my 7 month and 21 month old perfectly.

www.sosdiapers.com - also one-size, they have a longer dry time but very trim

www.beccabottoms.com - she has the best AIO's. So trim!! They can be worn under jeans without even a hint of cloth diaper butt. :)

www.loveybums.com - great wool covers and fitteds and very reasonably priced

www.fluffymail.com - awesome fitteds!

www.sugarbums.com - awesome fitteds

www.valor-kids.com - great stuff!

www.mosaicmoon.net - awesome wool soakers but very hard to get

www.koolsheepsoakers.com - awesome wool soakers but also very hard to get

www.kiwipie.com - the best wool cover ever! I own 6 of them but I had to beg and plead for them, almost impossible to get.

www.thecushietushie.com - wool soakers, very nice. easier to get and affordable for hand knit wool.

www.wonderfulwoolies.com - wool soakers :) Can you tell I like wool! :lol2:

Can you tell I have a problem?! And this is just the start of the items I like. I need to be commited!

WOW! Thanks Anne and Christy! I don't think I can get into all those right now! I need to try what we have and see how that goes. Then, I'll have to go back to what you posted and try some more.

I got an order from NaturalBabies today. Fuzzi Bunz for the baby and a couple to try on my 2 year old son, whisper wraps, and sugar peas wipes (wow are they soft!)

I can't wait to wash all these up and get started!
