I just started a little side job of doing websites/design/programming for WAHM online stores. Instead of getting money, I get store credit so it works out great on both ends of the deal. Well, I got my first client, and she is opening a cloth diapering store with homemade AIOs and Wool Covers. Her website is awful! So, I am doing the whole thing over again.

Just wondering if you guys had any ideas of fun stuff or facts I could put on the site? What do you think needs to be on the site? I am just trying to figure out what is the most important (or most attractive) thing to put on websites. Why do you have favorite online CD stores?

Anything else you want to add, feel free :)

Personally, I'd suggest putting stats on there about the cost of CD vs. disposables. If you can find stats about the amount you're keeping out of the landfill, that would be great too.

Make sure she puts instructions on how to wash, instructions on how to remove stains, sizing suggestions too. That's what I look for when I go to those sites.

IMHO, there are some sites out there that have TOO MUCH on them. I find them difficult to navigate and go elsewhere to buy.

My $.02.

Also, if you can use some bulletin board technology to let her customers post questions, she can answer, other customers can answer, etc., I always find that interesting and attractive in a site.
