I just got a journal going on the Just life section... Made my first post in it.. How is Sarah today.. She is the sweetest little thing!! I loved the pictures of the two of you together!! I can now see more of her Mummy in her too!! Cazzle January 6th, 2004, 10:16 AM G'day! :) Cat! My BIL is living "near" you (Aberdeen, but that's near enough when you're talking the distance between Australia and Scotland  ) I'm absolutely dying of envy - every time I see one of your posts, I feel a pang and want to go back to Scotland. We didn't get to stop in Inverness (just drove through on our way to Loch Ness), but the autumn foliage on the way there was just magnificent, and that whole area was so beautiful. You're lucky to live there! But you can keep the snow. ;) Cat January 6th, 2004, 10:48 AM  Tarzy, great to see you :) We only had a drop of snow once, and that was way back in October. Unfortunately its awful drizzly rain just now. I would swap eating my Christmas dinner in winter thermals to b-b-q on the beach any day  catalina January 6th, 2004, 08:40 PM Hello, my name is catalina and I represent MEXICO http://www.qdice.com/mitierra/icons/icon26.gif :victory: Natalie January 6th, 2004, 09:29 PM Another Aussie checking in!! :wavey: I'm in Melbourne :) Cat January 7th, 2004, 04:58 AM Hey Catalina and Natalie :wavey: beccalynne January 7th, 2004, 07:41 AM Hey we've got quite an international group here!!! Cazzle January 10th, 2004, 02:53 PM  Tarzy, great to see you :) We only had a drop of snow once, and that was way back in October. Unfortunately its awful drizzly rain just now. I would swap eating my Christmas dinner in winter thermals to b-b-q on the beach any day :lol: You are right, it's great to be able to have a bbq on the beach for Christmas. You just have to hope you don't end up with one of those mad families that try to do the whole "traditional English Christmas" with the meat and the family all roasting indoors together  Although, there is a lot to be said for those Christmases too. I probably shouldn't pick on the snow too much. Until we went to Scotland, I had seen snow twice in my life, and both times it was already on the ground. I can't tell you how thrilled we all were when we got to see it falling from the sky. Amazing! Also, my Scottish-based half-siblings-in-law laughed their heads off at us when we stopped to inspect a frozen puddle on the footpath. None of us had ever seen one! My sisters-in-law were especially impressed! Hahaha. Pick the Aussies - they're the ones poking the frozen puddle! catalina January 12th, 2004, 08:36 PM No more Mexicans? :( beccalynne January 13th, 2004, 07:00 AM BBq for Christmas sounds fantastic!!lOL That is definately a new idea/tradition to start up... Nadine January 13th, 2004, 07:44 AM Seems I am the only representative of Israel...:woo: Hiya everybody. At first, I was convinced that ll members are from the US... Like we would throw you out! :) You know what they say - the more, the merrier. Nadine January 14th, 2004, 12:15 PM Hi everybody... I have a journal now, called "me and my 2 rascals" under mommyus and daddies journals... Hope to see u there... gulp! January 15th, 2004, 01:29 PM Can I butt in on your thread for a second? I live in the States, but I'm trying to find out any info on U.K. or international parenting magazines. We have good friends who are living in London, and we want to get them a gift subscription to a parenting magazine, but have no idea what's good over there! What mags do you international ladies read? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Sorry to hijack your thread...bowing out now... beccalynne January 15th, 2004, 04:51 PM Cat would be your best source I think for the possibility of parenting magazines. I'm not a big magazine person unless it's Better Homes and Gardens or a Scrapbook magazine.. Those are the only ones I have in my house... Cat January 16th, 2004, 05:55 PM Cat would be your best source I think for the possibility of parenting magazines. And what makes you think I have time to sit and read parenting magazines! Gulp I will try my best to help you, after becoming Bridezilla regards Wedding mags, then hormonally obsessed and freaked out by Pregnancy mags, I tried to stear clear of the parenting mags. However, there are a couple I like, my Favourite is Mother & Baby http://www.magazines-subscriptions.co.uk/mother-and-baby-magazine.htm (http://www.magazines-subscriptions.co.uk/mother-and-baby-magazine.htm) they have a great 'Tried and tested' feature where mums try and test various aspect of baby essentials ranging from nappy (diaper) cream to Car seats and prams. They usually also have a great freebie each month. Another I like is Prima baby, usually have great articles http://www.primababymagazine.co.uk/ This one I got addicted to because it had everything from preconception, pregnancy, birth (although some mums thought it was appropriate to photograph the birth!) and baby info too. The other one I love to get is Practical Parenting, http://www.magazine-subscription.co.uk/practical_parenting.htm Again, this one usually has great offers and freebies and great articles. They also do a brilliant tried and tested section, and full of great advice. Those are the main three I like, When I find the time to get the feet up with a cup of tea and a chocolate bar  HTH :) gulp! January 16th, 2004, 08:52 PM Cat, thank you so much! Your info is an enormous help, and thank you for giving me such thorough information! By the way, my name is Stefanie. Nice to meet you! :) Cat January 17th, 2004, 07:39 AM Stephanie Glad to be of assistance :) Dont hesitate to holler if you need any other info :) And best of luck with baby #2 Lojswife January 29th, 2004, 09:49 PM Hi....another Aussie here too... but I am in Brisbane... in between Maree and Rach geographically :) Cazzle January 29th, 2004, 10:28 PM Hi Angie!
