So, how long after you had your baby did AF return for you? And conditions that would affect that for you (like bf-ing)?

I wasn't BFing and AF showed at 6 weeks PP.

I bf'd until 5 months. I never bf exclusively, about 80% of the time and when i stopped totally at 5 months, AF arrived four weeks later. So she came at 6 months pp

I BFed for about 4.5 months, and forced the AF issue by starting BCP at 5.5 months PP.

I forgot to mention myself! :lol: I bf (and continue to do so), and AF returned when DD was 16 months old.

i bottlefed and my first af was at exactly 7 wks pp.

I breastfed Connor for 11 1/2 months. I went back to work when he was 7 months and then only breastfeed in the evenings/middle of the night.

AF returned when Connor was 9 1/2 months old.

I am still BF and AF came exactly 5months PP. Just remembered how much I hate her and how I never missed her once when pregnant!

I was bfing. I had pp bleeding for 3 weeks and 4 weeks later AF showed for the first time right on schedule. Which is weird because my cycles were never normal before pg. Since then I have had a 21 day and a 43 day cycle. This cycle will probably be about 39 days also.

I Oed exactly 10 weeks PP, AF at 12 weeks...
Was BFing too. :furious: My milk dried up soon after AF appeared. Such a shame. No amount of marathon nursing or fenugreek or anything would bring it back and the same thing happened with Oliver too. My boobs don't work I guess! :lol: Baffled the doctors and midwives and LLL people too.

Mine came exactly at 6 weeks PP. I was exclusively BF at the time too. So much for that.

I had my first pp AF at 7 weeks, but I haven't had one since. I am exclusively bfing.

I nursed for 15 months. Saxon was born in April and af came at xmas.

I BF Ian for 7 months. TWO DAYS after I stopped BF, AF arrived. Funny huh? :)

I was 5 months pp with my son and was only partially bf'ing. I'm almost 3 months pp this time and still haven't gotten it. I did, however, get a Mirena installed last week, so that may have something to do with it, I'm not sure.

I never got it after my first...got PG instead (which was planned, so I guess it would've been around 9 months or so?!), and this time, she's 9 months today, and I'm still waiting, so we'll see!

I didn't bf my first and AF showed up at 11 weeks PP. With my second I'm bf'ing and she still hasn't shown up (at 6 months PP).

I was exclusively BF my DD and AF returned @ 8 weeks PP. I had three long cycles-averaging 43 days each and I got pg a couple weeks after my DD started solids @ 6 months. She was still breastfeeding quite often at the time-and I continued BFing her until she turned a year old.

I did not BF. AF came at 8 weeks, on the day I went back to work. Happy Back-to-Work Day to me!

I BF'd for 13.5 months and no AF. I was on Micronor BCP just in case. I got AF about 10-14 days after I stopped BF'ing. I quit BF cold turkey because I wanted AF to show up so I could get pregnant again. So a total of 14 months. :)
(edited to add: I stopped the BCP in September, and still no AF until I quit BFing)

JA was breastfed until 8 weeks..but AF showed at 5..right before my 6 week check up. Argh.

AF showed up at about 11 weeks PP. I bottle feed, so I'd been expecting her for a while.

I was BF and supplementing when AF showed up at 2 months PP.

I finally got my first AF, at 11 months PP. I weaned Amelia from BFing at 10 months.

I was BFing exclusively when AF showed up at 4 1/2 months PP. Then nothing for 6 weeks, she showed up again, and that was it...I got my BFP 7 weeks after that!

I had Timmy completely weaned by almost 8 months PP and got my period the next month.

Well with my first I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months and got my first AF not long after that, but with my 2nd he is now 7 months old I am still BF and haven't seen one little sign of AF, except for constant cramps like she is coming but never does....

I BFed for 14 months. AF showed up between 10-11 months PP.

I am still BFing Seda at 16 months but AF returned about 13 months PP.:banana:
