I lived there for about 25 years... Small but they have just about every store out there so shopping is GREAT!

Oh there is everything in our area. We mved from Castleton and we thought the only two things we miss is Qdobas and BW-3 and both have been built since then :lol:

Yummmm.....Qdoba.....send one my way! We don't have one here and so everytime I'm in Indy, I have to stop there!

We have one right across the street from work... it makes dieting that much harder :lol:

Ive only been to Qdoba once and it was terrible....however....it may have been what I orderd.....plus that was many years ago...It was the one in caslteton

Hi Libby and Mommy2Nick! I live on the eastside, near Irvington. Libby, you're real close...but then again, I tend to think virtually everything just off 465 is 'real close'. :lol: I grew up in Kokomo, lived in Greenwood from 1994-1996, back to Kokomo, and have been in my house now since Nov 1998. LOVE Southport...especially SuperTarget!

Here's a question for those of you here in Indy. Have you noticed that natives to Indy seem to only know their own side of town, and never venture beyond it? DH and I have both noticed that. He works on the west side (he's originally from Crown Point, up near Chicago), and people he works with are stunned that he lives on the east side...they barely know where it is!! I used to work with a woman who grew up on the east side, went to Purdue for school, and lived on the east side as an adult. She couldn't place where the Pyramids were!!! One woman in my Bible Study lives in the Castleton/Fishers area, and had no idea that a lengthy strip of West Washington was almost 100% Hispanic...she never ventures into what she calls 'the inner city'.

Maybe it's because DH and I moved here as adults, but we LOVE exploring Indy!!! Because I grew up in Kokomo, we always went to Castleton to shop, and then I worked there for 4 years. DH lived on the west side for 4 years, I've been on the east side for 5, and I lived in Greenwood for 2...and I worked downtown for 2!! Between us, we can get virtually anywhere in this city. One guy he works with grew up on the west side (went to Ben Davis), lived in Plainfield as an adult, and if you get him east of oh....the Speedway, he's LOST!!! I don't get it!!!

OMG My husband. Dork. He grew up in Indy as a westsider his entire life. I grew up in small town southern Indiana, then moved all the way up north, and only came to Indy to marry him.

OMG I was cracking up about people only knowing their way around one side of Indy.

We used to be like this as well. When we were on the northside that was all I knew. I worked up north and pretty much did everything up there but houses are so much cheeper on the Southside so we expanded our horizons :lol:

I hate driving in downtown. So does DH so we always get lost.

Yeah I've been at work since the beggining of the year. Its been tough to say the least. I really wish we could afford for me to stay home. Besides that I HATE pumping... so I'm replacing something I love, nursing my baby with something I hate... okay I'm done whining for now :lol:

Lil, I hated pumping as well...I was so glad I only had to do it for 8 weeks, and I still have some frozen so Darrell can help out with midnight feedings after Molly arrives! Are you supplementing with formula? Thankfully, Emily went on whole milk 100% of the time about 2 weeks ago, so I don't miss the added expense AT ALL!!!

No, so far I'm able to keep up with my supply. I really do not want to supplement with formula despite how much I hate pumping I know it keeps my supply up and I LOVE nursing and more importantly Nick LOVES it. So I don't want to give up our nursing relationship not when he's only 5 months old.

Good for you!!! I was able to BF exclusively until Emily was 9 months, and then she self weaned. I'm hoping to go just as long with Molly!

I'm way up north in the arctic with 12 inches of snow.

No actually just in Huntington, about 20 minutes south of Fort Wayne.

And good for you for still pumping Lil! I BFed Darcy until she was 8 months old and weaned her after I got pg with Sloane. So far she's still BFed, but I'm going back to work shortly, and don't know how well I'll do with pumping either.

Karen, I know right where you are. I'm originally from Kokomo, and every time we go to Ft Wayne, we take 24 through Huntington...so much prettier than 69! :lol:

Can you guys believe how cold it was yesterday?? I about died!! Today's supposed to be better...I hope so, I have errands to run and don't want to be out in subzero temps.

Thanks for the support girls... its been frustrating. I thought I had a good back store but Nick went through it in like 3 days so its been challenging to keep up but hearing other success stories always helps :)

It was riddiculously cold yesterday. I hated taking Nick out to get to the sitters. We even forced him to wear his winter coat and he hates it but it was just so freezing that blankets didn't seem like enough.

Okay, I'm ready for spring. It is so cold today it hurts when you go outside. I had to drag Riley to a basketball game and it was murder walking out the parking lot of ice carrying her while she's screaming "Brrr Mommy"

It's AWFUL!!! We finally went out around 2pm today....we were just so sick of being cooped up inside, I had had enough. Darrell warmed the truck up while I tucked Emily into her snowsuit. She loves going out so much, she grinned the whole way to the truck! Tomorrow's supposed to be a bit warmer, but not much. BRING ON SPRING!

Atleast its warming up finally. Its so slippaey though. I nearly broke my leg waling into work today.

the ice is awful...I had to stop at the office last Thursday, and almost slipped and fell on my way back to the car. Normally wouldn't have bugged me, but I'm almost 7 months pregnant AND was carrying Emily!!! grrrr

Today we had to go out, so I went out early and put salt all over the back sidewalk...otherwise there's no way I could've made it to the garage carrying her. HURRY UP SPRING!

You know my babysitter's street is just a sheet of ice! Its crazy.

Well things are going better with my milk supply is doing better. I've been pumping first thing in the morning as well as at work and usually break even each day. I'm building a backstore again by pumping weekend mornings :)

For the Indiana girls who were around for Central Indiana Brides way back on UW...Nicki had her baby!! I ran into her mom last week up in Kokomo, and she had her on Jan 16 I think (it was the day before her EDD). Doing just fine, and I can't wait to see pictures!
