If you are flying with an infant (under 2) that you are buying a seat for, Continental gives you the discount on their website. Most of the airlines I've seen either don't have a discount or you have to call to get it, and then you lose out on the web fares. Continental gives you half off right on the website. It's very cool, if they fly where you are going.

Thanks Dennis!! We are planning on going to Florida in August and I have been checking out fares and trying to decide if we will get four seats.

fyi kate - jetblue is flying out of boston now....roundtrip to florida is only about $160! we usually fly southwest out of providence just because it's easier. i've never paid more than $200 a ticket.

i believe that continental does not have non-stop to florida out of boston or providence.

FYI - I've booked off of Orbitz and the fare was 50% discounted for a child under two in a carseat.
