ok, cd12 today. i kept forgetting to temp so i have no idea when i'm going to O......i have a four day weekend coming up so hopefully we can get this party started
qotd: are you secretly hoping for a boy/girl?
i am secretly wanting another boy. ok, maybe not so secret as i've mentioned it more than once to anyone who will listen
Barb
December 30th, 2003, 12:09 PM
CD10 for me. I'm not temping because it's too huge a PITA. I figure I'll probably O sometime this weekend.
QOTD: I can honestly say I don't have any preference. I have more boy name ideas than girl names, but if I have a girl I can come up with something, so it just doesn't really matter.
Brandi Jo
December 30th, 2003, 12:41 PM
CD 11 here. I am trying to temp and chart this cycle, just to make sure that I am actually going to O. Infertility just sucks! TCOYF says thati f I actually do O this cycle, it won't be until sometime next week.
I think I am secretly hoping for a girl this time *or not so secretly* At first I wanted another boy, but my sister is due with a boy in April, so Riley will have someone close in age to play with. That being said, I think I am destined to be the mother of boys. C'est la vie!
kim
December 31st, 2003, 10:11 AM
sqotd: got your names picked out?
it's funny, when i was pg with tony i didn't even think of names until i was more than 3 months. (btw we did not know the sex of the baby). i remember it was marc's bday (halloween) and we were out to dinner and i suggested we name the baby after our dads (my dad was dying of cancer at the time, marc's dad died when marc was a teen). so that night we decided on anthony robert for our boys name. the girls name took longer. i loved sydney. marc took months to warm up to it....then i changed my mind  and wanted 'gianna'....he fought me on it because he was by then, loving 'sydney'. i won of course.
so, long story even longer......will be using 'gianna' if we have a girl. boys names are up in there air but 'max' and 'alex' have been tossed around. i want max to be 'maximus', marc gave me a definate NFW on that (no fookin way)
cd13 today. getting close! starting to notice some cm...
Brandi Jo
December 31st, 2003, 10:28 AM
If Riley had been a girl, he was going to be Madeline. I'm glad he was a boy though, cause I'm not feelin the name anymore  I got Riley off of an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...one of the characters was named Riley and I just fell in love with it. Will didn't really care for it. His first name is after Will...but was almost Liam *great choice, Barb*
So....for the next one, I have no flippin idea on boy names...As for girl names, I'm kinda fond of Isabella Sloane...but Will isn't sure if he likes it.
Barb
December 31st, 2003, 10:50 AM
If we have another boy we really like the name Colin (pronounced caw-lin like Colin Firth, not coe-lynn like Colin Powell.) Whatever we pick, the middle name will be James after Greg's dad and grandpa. As for a girl, I'm clueless. If Liam had been a girl he would have been Jillian Denise (my middle name is Jill and Greg's sister's name is Denise) but now we're just not feeling it. So I don't know. :dunno:

cd14 :aok: we're in 'the zone'
qotd: are you going to find out the sex?
yes we are. we did not know last time and i liked the surprise of it, but for #2 i want to know so i can plan the room. how stupid is that?

Hi ladies - I had CD 1 on Dec 17th, so I'm currently at CD16. I usually O late, around CD22 or so.
I'm not actively TTC right now... in fact we're avoiding until fall as DH is a teacher and it's just sooooo much easier to have a summer baby, but, I was charting before I got pg with my first, and I'll probably chart the rest of my life, so I figured I'd hang out with you all if that's okay. :)

CD 13 here.
QOTD: Yes, we are going to find out the sex. I am too much of a planner not to find out. I don't, however, think that we are going to tell our families what the sex is.
Barb
January 2nd, 2004, 09:32 AM
CD13 today. I'm on the fence about finding out the sex. We found out with Liam and that was fine, but a part of me would like to know what the surprise is like. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what kind of mood I'm in when the time comes.

welcome jacqui :wavey:
cd15.
tmi but i had ewcm today......we bd'd last night.....hopefully i can tempt dh into another bd this weekend (he is not aware of my fertile time and doesn't want to know  so i can't be too obvious)
i'm already getting obsessive about this! i'm kicking myself for not temping!
qotd:
how many kids do you plan on having?
#2 will be it for me. i'm having my tubes tied during my next csection.
Brandi Jo
January 2nd, 2004, 07:50 PM
CD 14 I'm having some lower back pain today..hope that it is O pain, but I doubt it is this early.
QOTD: We aren't sure if the next one will be the last one. I don't have to worry about getting a tubal, since I can't get pg without "good drugs" I keep thinking that I'm not getting any younger and that spacing them any farther than 2 years apart is going to lead to me being 40 and still having babies. I guess we will just be OTL after the next baby gets here and what happens, happens!
Lyndee
January 3rd, 2004, 12:03 AM
Can I join you guys??
CD 1 was Dec 14 so that makes me at CD 20. I didn't temp this cycle because of the trip. We managed to BD ONE time on day 14. I had EWCM that day. We were on vacation and DH said no BD while Lauryn was in the room (in the other bed).
No idea when I ovulated. We'll just have to call this the crapshoot cycle.

January 3rd, 2004, 09:24 AM
hey lyndee!!!
:fingerscr you win the crapshoot!
Barb
January 3rd, 2004, 09:25 AM

Okay, I'm CD14 today. Had a little bit of EWCM yesterday and we BD'd today, so we'll see!

QOTD - We're not sure... sometimes we think this one that we have will be it! But, we're likely going to open ourselves up to the possibility next fall. :) I have really screwy cycles and only got PG on low dosage clomid... but I don't want to go down that path again. So, we'll actively TTC w/o it in the fall and see what happens. If we get PG, then it's a blessing. If not, then it's not meant to be. :)
I just started getting EWCM, but I probably won't O for several more days.

cd 18
we bd'd on cd14 and 16, so i'm guessing i've got 2 good chances :D
sqotd
since we all have one child already.....are you going to do anything different in your pregnancy/delivery this time around?
hell YES! last time i gained over 50lbs  that will not happen again :nono:
also, last time i was under some unbelievable stress with planning a wedding in 8 wks, and of course my dad's illness/death. i am hoping this time i will be more calm and can at least try to enjoy it (i really hated being pg)
Mom2Alex
January 5th, 2004, 11:00 AM
Well, my temp dropped today, so I'm likely O-ing in the next day or two. :)
Anyone in their 2WW yet? :)
As for what we will do differently if we get PG again... I'd be sure to eat like I did last time and such, but we're going to take a Bradley Birthing class if we get PG again. The independent class was about as helpful as a hospital class! :rotflmao: So, not at all!
Barb
January 5th, 2004, 12:36 PM
CD16 here and only one BD on CD14. :dunno:
What will I do differently? I probably won't stress as much about every little thing I eat and drink. I will be good, I promise, but I was way over the top before. I'm also going to try to be more patient, with Liam I just wanted him to be born. This time, I'm going to try to enjoy the pregnancy more.
Brandi Jo
January 5th, 2004, 01:58 PM
CD 17 here. Lots of bd'ing going on ...even though I probably won't O until next week :)
I'm just hoping that the next pg will be an easy one. I had HG with Riley and wished away every moment of it. I'm also going to try to forgo the epi the next time (it didn't work while I was in hard labor anyway.)
Mom2Alex
January 5th, 2004, 02:01 PM
If you are wanting to not do the epi, I'd highly recommend the Bradley classes. It seems like everyone I know who took Lamaze ended up with an epi, but everyone I know who took Bradley had the birth that they wanted.

Anyone in their 2WW yet? :)
technically i guess i am , but i have no idea if/when i o'd . if i don't get pg this cycle i am going to make an effort to temp next cycle.

I actually did take Bradley classes...but...they were of no help either.

January 7th, 2004, 10:12 AM
cd 20 for me today.
i normally have 29 day cycles so i would expect af next friday the 16th. i am NOT testing early this time (last aug. i had a chem pg. got two bfps, then a bfn :( on the third test day)
sqotd
are you a maniacal tester?
Lyndee
January 7th, 2004, 11:45 AM
Hello people!
I've honestly lost track of what CD I am in but I think I guess I'm kind of on a 2WW but not getting my hopes up at all on this crapshoot cycle. AF is due sometime this weekend. I'll have to count later. (I still don't have an '04 calendar!)
I am going to see my endocrinologist tomorrow. My weight is still dropping. Luckily, this doc is also a reproductive specialist so I'll get checked out while I'm there.
QOTD
No, I'm not a tester. The BFP I got with Lauryn was the first HPT I've ever taken in my life and I tested on CD 38. The test came in a 3-pack and the expiration date was Feb 2004. I threw the other two away thinking that I wasn't going to be needing anymore until after the expiration. I did buy a new 3-pack and I will only open it if I am late. (Makes you think I've got so much self control, huh! NOT)
Barb
January 7th, 2004, 12:20 PM
I'm on CD18. My cycles have been 30 day cycles consistantly for the last few months. I'm not sure when, or if, I O'd. We BD on CD14 and 17.
QOTD
Hmmm. I don't think I'm too bad. I bought a 3-pack the first month we were TTC and I used two of them. That's because I thought I had symptoms of being pg. Turned out it was psychosomatic. Then last month I used the last test because it was there and AF was due the next day. Of course it was a BFN. I'm not going to even buy tests this time until AF is late, if it is. That means not until after the 21st. (I'm counting on ya'll to hold me to that. )
kim
January 7th, 2004, 12:37 PM
i never even took an hpt with tony :owow:.
i was seeing my ob for a cyst, had an u/s and at my followup appt i was 4 days late so i had the blood test. i could have taken one but i was in denial ...getting pg solved that cyst issue
kim
January 7th, 2004, 12:38 PM
p.s. lyndee, are you using outlook? use that calendar!
Barb
January 7th, 2004, 12:56 PM
With Liam I took 3. I didn't believe the first one, so I took a second and the third was just because. I guess that's kind of obsessive.
Lyndee
January 8th, 2004, 09:19 PM
p.s. lyndee, are you using outlook? use that calendar!
I've got outlook but we use Netscape at work. I did visit the supply room and get a calendar today. I'm on CD 25.
I went to see my endocrinologist today because I'm still losing weight. My glands look fine. He drew some blood to check my TSH levels so maybe he'll have results by Monday or so.
Lyndee
January 8th, 2004, 09:34 PM
I've been delinquent with answering questions so I'm here trying to catch up. I want to be a good cycle buddy!
qotd: are you secretly hoping for a boy/girl?
I'd love to have another girl. (but of course, I will have to make the "if it's a boy, we'll love him just the same disclaimer...
sqotd: got your names picked out?
Yes, I have a couple of names but we'll do like we did Lauryn- we didn't name her until the day after she was born. We want to make sure that the name fits. The first name we picked for her didn't fit so we may recycle it!
I do have a boy name picked out though!
[b]qotd: are you going to find out the sex?
Yes! I will go nuts if I didn't know. Although with Lauryn, I was 99% sure we were having a girl.
how many kids do you plan on having?
Hopefully more than one. Two would be great. While I do fantasize about having a big family like one I grew up with, the realities of raising more than 2 (heck, even more than one) scares me! Three would also be nice but we'll see after the second.
sqotd
since we all have one child already.....are you going to do anything different in your pregnancy/delivery this time around?
I will post more on UB, I mean OUAL. I was too much of a slacker- I didn't keep a pregnancy journal, I didn't do a baby book until Lauryn was 14 months old. I had to dig in the UB archives to get specifics and there were weeks when I had no posts! And here I am with Lauryn at 21 months already and I'm just now working on my pregnancy scrapbook. (My motivation: get this scrapbook done hopefully before I get pg again- great moving target of a deadline, huh!)
There! Don't you guys know me so well already???
Lyndee
January 8th, 2004, 09:38 PM
QOTD:
Are you and your DH going on another "Last Hurrah (childless)" vacation before the next one comes? Where would you go? I think we all know where Kim is going!
I'd love another trip to Europe or perhaps a caribbean cruise.
kim
January 8th, 2004, 10:01 PM
qotd
 well, our trip last june to cedar point was supposed to be our 'last hurrah' trip without tony. then we didn't get pg in the summer, so what the fook let's take another childless trip in november
i swear we're taking tony on our june trip
Barb
January 9th, 2004, 08:42 AM
Yes, Greg and I are planning a trip. It came upon us by accident, though. At his company Christmas party, he won the grand prize of two round trip tickets to any Great Plains Airlines destination. I think we've pretty much decided on going to Washington D.C. (Lyndee, how close is that to where you are??) We'll probably do this in June and my IL's will watch Liam.
Lyndee

 Barb's comin to DC!
Yes, DC is very close! On a good weekend day, I can make it there in 40 minutes!
On a snowy day like today + rush hour- I'd need to fly in to DC!
DC is awesome! Lots of things to do. The best time to visit is the fall. Spring is okay but the weather tends to be very fickle. I love the summer here but DH hates it. He says it's too humid but it's just fine for me!
Whoo hoo!
Let's definitely plan a get together.
Barb
January 9th, 2004, 12:17 PM
OMG, a hussy meeting in DC would be awesome! We're looking at June, so I don't think snow would be a problem. I'll definately let you know if that's what we decide for sure, it's still a maybe.

Or just recycle the old questions- I'll probably change my answers the next time they get asked! :lol2:
I am ignoring anything psychosomatic (I've had heartburn, nausea, dehydration and constipation) The only thing that will get my hopes up is a missed period, period! This was so much easier the last time when I didn't even know I was in a 2WW! :tearhair:

I think I'm on CD 28 today. Got some twangs that could be the start of cramping last night but nothing today. Isn't it so cruel that PMS symptoms can be the same as pregnant symptom? When I got pregnant the first time, I was expecting my period on a Monday. Had the bloatiness, the cramps, and everything else. Then nothing happened. I waited 3 days. No AF. Then I figured it will come when it was ready. Man, I was so clueless!
QOTD:
How anxious are you about TTC this time around? How are you keeping yourself busy (perhaps from going insane?)
Me: I was really stressed out the first 2 cycles. My PMS symptoms were really bad then I was just crushed when AF showed up. I had to tell myself that it's okay if this takes some time. What's my hurry? (actually it's 35 but that's another post!). I started working on my first pregnancy scrapbook to rechannel my energy. While it's great to reminisce about my first pregnancy, I'm also trying to enjoy not being pregnant right now and being able to sit on the floor and staying up really late. So I'm in a much healthier state these days.
Barb
January 12th, 2004, 09:42 AM
I guess I'm CD23 today.
QOTD - I'm not as anxious now as I was the first cycle we were TTC. I'm actually doing pretty good about not thinking too much about it.
kim
January 12th, 2004, 09:46 AM
cd25 - had more cramping yesterday.
qotd:
i didn't try to get pg last time so ttc is fairly new to me, we were otl last summer and i went semi bananas  i'm trying to be more calm. i have already convinced myself that this cycle is a wash
keeping busy? i spend a lot of time online. shopping/chatting generally avoiding work

Hectic Day today!
Our vice president took me out to a schwanky lunch for my 5th year anniversary with the firm. Got some $$ and a Waterman pen with my initials on it.
I went to the bathroom right after lunch guess who showed up :bat:
I was expecting it today anyways. Surprisingly, I haven't had much cramping at all! So I'm out for this cycle but I'll stay with you guys until you get your BFPs this month!
Talked to my endocrinologist today. All my hormone levels are normal :aok: Just needed to check!
Goodluck ladies!!!
Lyndee
January 12th, 2004, 06:54 PM
See I'm back already!
QOTD:
How do you feel about the spacing of your kids? (for hussies: they'll be at least 30 months apart).
Me: I thought I"d have my kids closer together- as in 2 years apart but I didn't even think about a second one until Lauryn was 14 months old. Then a few more months to even think about TTC. We just have to think that it'll work out in the end. We've started to look at schools- specifically Montessori schools and most of them only take kids full time starting at age 3. So if we have the next one after Lauryn turns 3, we'd actually be in better shape. (that's at least my justification for not getting pg this month)
