Not sure if these are even still available, but I am looking for double bells for shoes that hold them tied. They were really popular in the 70's when I was a kid...I know my brother and I had them for our shoes, and Mom said they were usually sold in shoe stores or in the shoe department when she would buy our white high top walking shoes.

Emily is FINALLY starting to walk :woo: and her PT suggested she wear lace up ankle supporting walkers. I'd love to get a set of these double bells for two reasons....to keep her shoes tied, and to keep me informed as to where she is when she's exploring the house! :lol: With a 6 week old baby, I can't always chase after her when she's exploring.

Any ideas? TIA!!!

I don't know that they necessarily sell them in the shoe department anymore. Why not just go to your local craft store and pick up some craft-sized bells, and thread them on her shoelaces?

We asked about them at Stride Rite when we bought Rebekah's first pair of shoes. They said they don't sell them anymore because they are a choking hazard.

I bought a pair at our Stride Rite. I'm pretty sure I also saw them at the Stride Rite outlet.
