Hello, my name is Lissa and we are on our 3rd month of TTC#2, 3rd month on Clomid as well. Anyone else out there?

Hello! I'm Amy, CD 1 was Dec 26th. Been actively TTC since mid-summer, with a miscarriage and a chem pg. I'm so ready to have a sticky baby! And it figures that I'll get pg this cycle or next.... I'm in a wedding around Sept 25th, and in another Oct 23rd. So that would just figure!! :lol

:) I agree, the more the merrier! :welcome: So how long is everyone's typical cycle? Anyone getting near BD time? I had 23-24 day cycles until my miscarriage in October. Since then they've been 26-27 days. Used a fertility monitor last cycle and got an eggie on days 10 & 11. So we're getting to that fun time of the month again! Good thing is, we've started early. :)

Wow...I wish I had short cycles....less waiting!
I usually have 30 day cycles, and I usually O around CD18. So I have a lot of waiting!!
But I think that this past cycle I O'd early, so there will be plenty of BDing for us this month, just in case! (I don't know whether to be happy or annoyed about that! ;))
Brandi Jo
January 2nd, 2004, 10:40 AM
My cycles are usually pretty long. I generally O anywhere from CD 18 to CD 22. I'm always the last hang-er on-er of the cb group. Hmm..maybe joining a group where cd 1 is a lot later than mine isn't such a bad idea

Amy, sorry about your m/c! :bighug: My cycles are usually 29 days on clomid. I usually O on CD17. But this month I am taking it 2 days earlier in my cycle, so I would assume it would shorten my cycle by 2 days as well bumping O day to CD15.
Jill, I know what you mean. More BD'ing --- can be good or can be difficult with a little one here!
Brandi, I like your reasoning. We should O close to each other!

Brandi, I've got long cycles as well. The waiting makes the whole thing really frustrating.

Jill, I know what you mean. More BD'ing --- can be good or can be difficult with a little one here!
Especially when that little one still sleeps in your room!! (not in the same bed, TG, but in a PackNPlay in the corner). It certainly can put a damper on TTC!
I'm thinking of asking MIL to watch Kayleigh for a few days around the time I usually O....that might make things a little easier and a lot more fun! :brow: (though we will NOT tell MIL that's why we want her to watch Kayleigh! :nono: Ugh!)

Ok- I am going to jump in here.....Af should arrive on Sunday.....I am wanting to hold off really TTC until February because I really want a November/December baby but I thought I would join and get to know everybody :) Who knows, now that I have held Katie and kicked baby fever into hight gear, I might not be able to wait!

Thanks for hugs Lissa! :bighug:
Had some CM today so I'm glad we've gotten started on the BDing early! Wonder if things will be sooner again this cycle? Who knows! I'm SO hoping I get pg this cycle. Though, it wouldn't really be good... I'm in a wedding Sept 25th an hour away and that's about when I'd be due. But the next month is my SIL wedding. So if it doesn't happen this cycle, I think we'll be avoiding next cycle. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am such a compulsive tester...I test BEFORE I should. How can you be holding out, Wendy??
Lissa, you must have to get creative! I suppose that might make it a little more fun, too, huh? :brow:
Kim, I just wanted to say good luck with the clomid and the ultrasound! I hope that you have some good eggies there!
QOTD: Do you want a boy or a girl and why?
I want another girl because I think it would be much easier having all the clothes and everything already. I also want Kayleigh to have a sister, especially one who is close in age (I have 2 older sisters). Oh, and if we have a boy, Ken won't even CONSIDER having a 3rd child, and I am still thinking about 3. So, I want a girl!
Brandi Jo
January 5th, 2004, 03:21 PM
CD 17...no O in sight...but plenty of bd'ing going on *just in case  *
I'm with Jill...I overtest...How on earth can you be holding out?!
QOTD: I want a girl. I had originally wanted another boy. Now my sister is having a boy, and he is going to be close to Riley's age, so, I changed my vote. Now, all that being said, I think my next child will be a boy..as will any subsequent children that we may have. I think I am just destined to be a mommy to little boys.

QOTD: Do you want a boy or a girl and why?
My DH and I both prefer girls but would be happy with either. :)
The reasoning behind it is that's what I'm used to, I have one little sister and two beautiful nieces. Also, we have tons of toys and hand me down clothes just waiting for me when we get pregnant.
Wendy
January 5th, 2004, 04:55 PM
I am not holding out.....when I got to the office this morning and realized that I was actually due to start on Friday instead of yesterday I went out and bought a test. It was a CVS brand and I came back and tested right away. I got a BFN. I thought about it (and consulted with Sheila ) and went back at lunch and got a FR and tested again this afternoon. Another BFN. I am not sure what is going on. I am ALWAYS 27-29 days. Without fail. So even if this month was 29 days, I should have started on Saturday. I know I O late in my cycle, but I am not sure how late. I am thinking that maybe I am not far enough past my OD to test positive. But in reality I cant be that far off because with the holidays and everybody in my house being sick this month we only BD one time CD 17 or 18....they can only live so long you know!! :) Any thoughts on this situation?? I am having some symptoms of being pregnant in that I am a bit crampy, feel like there is a rock in my stomach, feel as if I am going to start, go into the bathroom and it is just a bunch of CM. Dont ask me how late I was with Abby.... I have no idea....I got pregnant within 2 weeks of going off the pill, so I dont know if I was actually late or even when my period was due. It is so much harder this time around...
And to answer someones question- Why do I want an end of the year baby? For a couple of reasons really. Abby was due January 2 and I loved being pregnant during the holidays. The last 8 weeks of your pregnancy goes by so fast because you are so busy with holiday stuff. You really have something to look forward to at Christmas etc. Also, with what I do for a living it fits in much better with my schedule. The courts slow down in November/December so it is much easier for me to be out of the office. I didnt get much maternity leave with Abby and this time I am determined to get all of my time plus a little extra...but in order to do that and actually get to relax and enjoy my time it would be better if it was towards the end of the year.
And to answer the question of the day.......I want another girl! I love being the mommy of a little girl and would love for Abby to have a little sister that she could be close to :)

QOTD: DH & I both want a girl 1st, but as long as we have a healthy baby we'll be happy.

Wendy, be sure to hold your urine for at least a few hours(I think 4 is suggested); otherwise you may get a false negative! Good luck!!!!!
Tara sorry to hear about the chem pg. I had a MC in Oct and a chem pg in Nov. So I know just how icky it is! Good luck this cycle!
Well, I think today is O day! That or tomorrow. Just judging by CM and the fact that I'm peeing SO often! I'm happy because at least we gave it enough chances to happen this month! There have been some cycles where we only BD once or twice around O time. So I'm glad there are more opportunities this time!
QOTD: If I had to choose, I'd choose a girl. I was never a girly girl, and hated pink. But I have SO much fun with Alyssa!! I love the fact that she's a girly girl, but also gets into the boyish stuff too! She's just an awesome mix. Also, I'd love for my future child to have a same sex cousin close in age like I had growing up. My sister just had a baby in Dec (her last) and SIL is getting married in Oct and won't be TTC for a while. So I'd love to have a daughter within a year of my neice Brooklyn. We'll see! :)

I guess that is what happens when your first one happens so quick that you really dont have time to catch your breath...you over plan the next one :)

Sorry to hear Wendy!!
I understand the overplanning and the frustration that can come with it! Alyssa was conceived while I was on the pill! I've been off the pill since last May and I'm thinking what do I have to do? Go back on the pill in order to have a sticky baby?! Ah well... it'll happen for us soon enough I suppose! :)

Welcome, Rachel!! Glad you could join us!
QOTD: (or of tomorrow) Do you have names picked out yet?
We've pretty much decided on the names. The boy's name is the ONLY boy's name we even partially like/can agree on, so we're going with that one for now. The girl's name is set, I think....it was a name (well, the nickname of the name) that I wanted when I was pg with Kayleigh, and Ken vetoed it. But now he has decided that he likes it, so I jumped on that one! So, if we have another girl, we'll name her the full name and then call her by the nickname that I like....it works for me! :aok:
Oh, and I'm not telling what the names are, just because I might send my sister to this board and I want to keep the names a secret from the family. :D I may reveal them some chat night, though!

Welcome, Sarah! I hope that cycle #8 is YOUR cycle. We conceived Alex at the 8 month mark (7 cycles). :)
Okay, girls, I am confused. I think I might have O'd really early-- yesterday!
1. I had all of the O signs -- including the clomid induced pain last night.
2. But it was 3 days earlier than I should have.
3. We were set to beging the BD'ing last night and all we got in was one time!
4. I started the OPK tests on Monday. Monday was a dark -- almost ++.
5. Tuesday's OPK test line was non-existent as is todays.
6. I haven't been able to temp consistently but did temp this morning and my temp did NOT go up....so maybe the thermal shift will occur tomorrow???
Oh, I am so freaking confused.
Sarah D
January 8th, 2004, 09:46 AM
I am thinking about OPK next month. Do you think they are more reliable than temping? I have been fairly consistent Oing freom CD13-16.
Mamey
January 8th, 2004, 06:04 PM
Lissa, did you get your rise?
Sarah I have heard good things about OPK; being able to pin down the exact day is nice. But I've also heard that they can be very confusing since the line has to be *darker* than the control line. So if you're pretty consistent on your O day, I wonder if it might be more frustration than it's worth? Just something to consider. Good luck with your decision!
Re: Names:
Boys: DH wants Anthony, I want Zachary. We both like Nicholas so that's prob what it'll be! :lol Middle name will be Daniel after DH.
Girls: Have a whole list since we don't agree on much. Big contenders are Arianna, Natalia, Karina. Middle name will probably be Marie (fam tradition)
I'm believe I'm past O time; prob O'd day 11, and I'm on day 14. Feel good about our BD timing. Good luck to all this cycle! :)

According to my FM I O'd yesterday, so I'm now 1DPO. Up until this month, I was using OPK's and I think they were a great help even though I can usually tell when I'm O'ing. I also began temping for the 1st time out of curiousity (sp?).

I'm actually on CD 20, and I believe only 9 dpo. But I'll test Monday if af hasn't shown. I've been SO tired the past two days. Like cannot talk by 9 pm due to sheer exhaustion. So that's interesting, but there is also a lot of stuff going around. My daughter was sick last week; I wonder if I'm fighting it off. But my hubby turns to me this morning and says so, you think you're pregnant? I was like ugh... don't start! I've been doing SO well not obsessing this 2ww! So now, of course, my mind has been running a mile a minute. I've had slightly sore bbs, on and off the last two days. Combine that with the exhaustion, and the fact that I just feel icky in general, and I wonder! :crossfing: It's a good thing I don't have any tests in the house... I'm a sucker for early testing! Have to wait until AT LEAST this weekend! :)
Hope everyone is doing well! Congrats to all those who have Od! Babydust to all!

I tested today at 11DPO but got a BFN. :( Yesterday I had some creamy CM, so I'm hoping that's a good sign though. My temps have slowly been rising, I'll try posting my chart...I just began temping last week so it's kind of empty.

Copying from UB:
Well, I also gave in and tested early. Last night and this morning, I got REALLY faint lines. But this morning was even lighter than last night, so I'm not believing it. I'm hoping, yes, but not getting my hopes up. The lines are so light, I'm really wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me. I mean, one of them, it's like if you know where to look, it's there. But if I hadn't taken a test before, I'd say it totally neg. So I'm a bit pouty about it all. Trying to have some self restraint and wait until tues to test again. In November, I got a positive like this, two days in a row, and went in for a blood test. My HCG was 2. I'm sure they think I'm insane. I really don't want to ask for a blood test again until I really believe a HPT. So I'm hoping that af stays away, and I'll have reason to test again on Tuesday.
Good luck to all!!

Well, I'm CD21 today and I may have O'd over the weekend. We'll see what tomorrow's temp brings. I played with some temps from CD12-14 because I think I took them too early and they were messing up my coverline. My temp was higher this morning, but not high enough, kwim?? :dunno: This TTC stuff just sucks....it was easier when we had an oops with Kayleigh...no stressing!

Congrats Lissa!!!! :yippee:
:bighug: Sorry to hear Tara!
Well, started spotting yesterday, but it hasn't gotten any heavier! Also don't have any cramps or anything. I finally called my doc this morning, and she referred me to an OB that deals with infertility too. She's not sure why I'm getting pos and then getting af. Maybe my body is making HcG when it's not supposed to? Maybe I'm losing the pregnancies? She is guessing it may be a progesterone deficiency, but she's family practice, OBGYN. So this is going beyond her specialty, and she's referred me on. So I have an appointment with this new OB next Thursday. In the meantime, if I still don't get the real af by Thurs, I'm supposed to go in for a quant HcG. So at least I'll know one way or another by Thursday. At this point, I'm hoping I'm pg, of course, but I'm thinking I'm not. So I'd like af to just get here and get it over with! :lol
Will update if anything changes!
Good luck to everyone!! :)

Thank you for all of the congrats. But it seems that the two tests I took yesterday were wrong. :( The test lines that appeared positive disappeared shortly after showing up. I have taken several more tests with negative results. I went for my annual check up today and they did another test -- which was also negative. The physical exam did not indicate a pregnancy either. They seemed baffled as to my false positives. If I don't start by Monday, I am supposed to call so that they do further tests. I am heartbroken.
