What toys did/do your 12 (ish) month old love? I've been trying to not go too crazy and buy Josiah too much. But it's beena while and I'd like to find something new for him. We have the Leap Frog Learning table which he likes. Other than that, I feel like we've had everything else since he was a tiny, tiny baby!

Thanks for the info.

My daughter just loved her little LT Discover Sounds Kitchen at that time! As a matter of fact, she still plays with it!

... they also make a workshop... http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00005A77N.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005A77N/002-1004589-9806464?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846&me=A3UN6WX5RRO2AG&vi=pictures&img=14#more-pictures)

She also loved her Leap Frog Bake A Shape Sorter.

At that age, Brigit loved anything she could push, pull or stack. Her absolutely favorite toy in the world from about 12-15 months was this box of board books (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0811832783/ref=pd_sim_books_1/104-6919437-6446335?v=glance&s=books)that are also blocks - she would stack them, sort them, read them - for hours on end. I give this toy to every 1-year-old I know, and it's always popular.

Her other faves at age one were: Her "corn popper"; (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/toys/B00000IZOU/qid=1086628950/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-6919437-6446335) these soft, stackable blocks (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000663SF/qid=1086629095/sr=1-30/ref=sr_1_30/104-6919437-6446335?v=glance&s=toys); and this shape sorter/"busy box" (http://edushop.edu4kids.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2129). She also loved random sized plastic buckets, pitchers and Tupperware containers for stacking and for filling with other toys.

At 16 months, Colin is also big on things he can push - our Little Tikes Push and Ride (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005850H/qid=1086889367/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/104-3162990-6344706?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846)is very popular but so are any of the 100 trucks we have. Big, little, dump, police, battery, no battery - it's got wheels, it's being played with a lot.
