I know some of us worked outside the home prior to staying home and I'm curious as to what we all did! And, for those of you who work-at-home, what do you do?

I was an assistant project manager at an Architecture firm.

I basically took care of all the non-design aspects of various projects...billing/invoicing, contracts, budgets, schedules, editing proposals/letters/specifications, planning meetings etc. It was pretty boring!

I think my official title was Special Projects Manager for eCommerce - NAFTA CE. Basically, I coordinated the efforts of the Consumer Electronics division of a multinational company to make the website work to everyone's advantage. What I actually did was sit in on alot of meetings and tell people what we couldn & couldn't do because of the technical infrastructure that was out of my control.

I was the Director of Human Resources and Office Administration for the state's largest commercial real estate firm. The HR part I loved. The other part was being a boss for a bunch of office admin people (who couldnt report to the people they supported b/c they were real estate brokers, who arent technically employees), and that part sucked ass.

My official title was Society Concierge. Sound fancy huh, not really. Basically, I worked for a private club providing members access to premium seating to sporting events, concerts, broadway shows, etc. Also, booking golf tee times. The part I really disliked was selling memberships. I'm not very good at sales. Oh, and the management "sucked ass" big time. That was one of the biggest reasons I decided not to return. I loved my Members though and was a little sad not to be able to talk to them anymore.
