Hey,
Just wondering if we have anyone from MN here on OUAL. I don't really see many of us, but if there are. We can come here and complain about the ever sucking Vikings and the Never ending Winter. I look forward to meeting someone from this boring ole state...LOL

Hey there Kasie! I am from Minnesota. I was born and raised in Brainerd but have been living in Mankato since 1998. I have to agree about the ever sucking Vikings! They never fail to disappoint...yet I keep watching... At least the weather has been amazing lately!

Stacey...Are you sure you want to be a Vikings Fan....!!! No really it is so nice to see people from here. Can you believe this weather, it hasn't been this cold for a while.
I can't believe they are saying 30's by the end of the week.

It has been COLD lately..but today is feeling much better! This weekend should be great too! You can definitely tell that you are a Minnesotan when you think 30 degree weather is warm! Still no snow though...

p.s Anyone jumping on the Packer bandwagon? I just can't bring myself to cheer for them!

I know what you mean..I was watching the today show this morning and they were like it is getting all way down to 15 degrees. I do not think that 15 degrees is as cold as they were making it seem. I can't jump on the packer bandwagon either..I don't care about football enough. It would be cool if the Vikes were in it...I'd be all over that.

I'm from Minnesota - barely! I live in East Grand Forks, which is right on the Mn/ND border.

I'd never be a Packer fan! Vikings all the way...even if they are destined to never win a Super Bowl!

I spent my first 32 years in Minnesota and remember when the Vikings went to the Superbowl :) I met a bunch of the players when I was in high school, only none of them are still playing, LOL!

While I live in Texas now, when people ask me where I'm from, I always say, "I currently live in Texas but I'm FROM Minnesota!"

I have the St. Paul Winter Carnival home page bookmarked on my work computer and am watching the ice palace being built :) I grew up in White Bear Lake.

Hi there ! I live in Minnesota. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana(born & raised for 31 yrs). I have been here in Paynesville for 3 years ! My hubby moved me up here. I love it. My daughter is 13 yrs old and she loves the school and the people here. I love the Fall and the crispness ! We don't have that in Louisiana. Angel

Paynesville, is a little town about 30 miles from Willmar and 45 miles from St. Cloud.Sorry, I can't be more specific... I am horrible with directions of any type.
I felt the same way when my hubby told me he was moving me to Paynesville ..I was like I don't see it on the map ..It is so small. But, I love it here now.

I don't know what it's like up there, but I guarantee that it's cheaper to live in WI than the metro area! :disbelief

Hope you all had a great Easter!

I'm not Angel but I can answer your question. Paynesville is a smaller town not a whole lot of options for shopping etc. But a town like Alexandria or Detroit Lakes might be more your style. Depending on how far north you want to venture. I live in Sebeka. Not many people know where that is but its about an hour west of Brainerd!!

Hey Hammy......Is Ramsey near St. Paul??? Don't worry about the Packer Fan-ness you have, I think it only counts when the Vikings are doing well....at least for me. Welcome...how are you all enjoying the crappy weather today??

Ramsey is up by Anoka and Elk River.

I am actually enjoying today with this weather. Connor is sleeping away so I have been able to get TONS of things done.

Wow we are all over the place. It's funny - I haven't heard of some of these palces in MN yet I've traveled a lot in the state.

Jaime is about the closest to me, being in Hastings. I work in Farmingtron but live in Lakeville, south of the metro.

Well, I'm pretty new here to OUAL, but I was at UB, OUH, and UW for a long time.
I live in Mankato and am from outside of St. Cloud. I know exactly where Paynesville is. :)

Hi Brook. We really need to meet IRL!! I bought a bike cart/jogger for Aidan and it has room for 2 babies. Let's go :walking:.
