I have 3 best girlfriends (4 of us total) that have been best friends for 23 years now. Last night at our Annual Girl's Christmas get together, we decided that we need to celebrate our 25th friendship anniversary (in two years ) with a FUN Girls Trip (no hubby's or kids).

We are past the days of drinking like fish and lounging on the beach the entire time.....but we also are not wanting to ONLY visit museums and monuments etc..... We'd like something in the middle.

All inclusive would be nice, just for the ease of it....... and we are open to anything here in the US or cheaper international trips like Mexico.

We are looking at a 4 to 5 day in length trip, and are all coming from Colorado.

Any ideas on fun destinations with LOTS of neat things to do, good food, fun places to go etc........ for budget minded Mommies, who can still get their groove on?

Hey Chris! The first thing that came to mind was Vegas. There is so much to do there.. shows, museums, rock climbing, gambling, site seeing etc etc. I went with my mom and dad last year and it was a blast! (i didnt even gamble)

Also, JillB just took an all inclusive trip to Mexico, you should check out her OUH journal for details. It looked like a fabulous trip!

My first thought was also Vegas. I could give you lots of advice and ideas if you are interested. :)

How about a cruise? You can find some really good deals, and there is so much to do on a cruise and all the meals are included.

I would go on a cruise also!

I had to laugh at this...

Hmn...I would go on a cruise as well. Either that, or I might rent a place on the East coast.

Either that, or I might rent a place on the East coast. You can get some great deals on a cruise!!! But I also had to quote what Karri said.....East coast baby! NJ has LOTS of places down the shore....the Cape, Wildwood and tons and tons of beaches!!! PA also has places too....like all inclusives to one of the few Pocono resorts.

My stepmother just returned from a 4 day trip to NYC with 4 of her best friends. She said that they started "partying" as soon as they got on the plane... well "partying" as much as 50 year old mothers and grandmothers would, and did not stop until they landed back here in Nashville.

Hmm... I'd probably go for the cruise. Or maybe an all-inclusive in Mexico? Actually, though... if you want a nice balance of beach and stuff to do, you could plan a trip to San Diego. There's TONS to do, and the weather is great. And it's a fairly reasonable airfare from CO, I think. And if you really want to party one night, you can take the train into Mexico!

What about the Mexican Riviera? I've never been there, but I've heard great things about it from a travel agent.

Or renting a house on the Outer Banks? Around Duck or some place like that. You could do the Cape, but that can get pricey.

What time of the year? Fall in New England is GORGEOUS! You could see the leaves, go to Salem (Massachusetts), visit Boston, and then spend a day in NYC.

Or what about Toronto? The exchange rate will help you, there are great shows (similar to Broadway) and it's just a neat city.

Another idea is the Berkshires in western MA in the summer. Concerts at Tanglewood, dance performances at Jacobs Pillow, plays galore! Gosh, there is SO MUCH going on there--stuff to interest anyone!
