I know I've been tired a lot in the last month since Molly was born, and especially with everything I went through after my c section. Chasing a 16 month old and getting up 2-3 times a night to nurse Molly is NOT easy, but I had no idea just how sleep deprived I was until the other night.

I heard Molly crying on the monitor, and had been dreaming that she was in our room. I sat up in bed, picked up the monitor and held it to my breast for almost a full minute, still half asleep!! I guess my theory was that since that was the source of the noise, stick a nipple in it and it'll stop! :rotflmao: DH was laughing at me so hard....I remember thinking "Why is she still crying??" just before I woke up enough to realize what I was doing.

Any other sleep deprivation stories to share??

We only tried co-sleeping one night and that was when Katie was about a week old. However, while we were sleeping, Reed must have rolled over or something and my brain said, "baby is falling out of bed!" So, I grab him and hold onto him to keep him from rolling out of bed (I'm still half asleep), usually he'll wake up and stop me. Now, if I've only done this once I wouldn't be concerned, but I've done this three or four times!

I don't have one, but one night when Caid was about 1 month old (maybe a little younger) dh changed Janelle just before bed and he put her (my 20 month old) in a size 1 pampers swaddler.

I nursed my blanky in my sleep instead of Connor.

Ihired a babysitter to watch Connor and Logan so I could shower, and forgot to rinse out the conditioner.

I've been wearing my breast pads backwards since a week after Connor was born...

I put a diaper on Brice inside out a couple weeks ago during a half-conscious 2 a.m. diaper change. We both woke up soaked.

Andrew has never slept in our bed and DH still does this at least once a week. The last time he did it he scared the crap out of the cat and it scratched me! :angrywife Drives me crazy!!

The first few weeks of Nick's life. We'd always wake up and look around trying to find the baby in bed with us. He was in his bassinet next to the bed, we'd never co-slept. But I woke screaming one day... I've lost the baby and Karl jumped up and was frantically trying to find him as well.
