View Full Version : Drool Rash
SarahK May 25th, 2004, 10:44 PM Katie is developing a pretty good drool rash under her lower lip. Anything I can do to help it go away/not get worse? I'm thinking I might put some of my lanolin (from BFing) on it...I think I read something in a Dr. Sears column about doing that.
Nocona May 25th, 2004, 10:47 PM Aquaphor works wonders on drool rash :)
Shanna May 25th, 2004, 11:01 PM Yup. My ped called it 'pacifier dermatitis' and said Aquaphor would be great for it.
TtownAnne May 25th, 2004, 11:03 PM Chapstick! I read it in a parenting magazine a long time ago and thought it sounded stupid at the time, but then I tried it and worked awesomely.
olcott May 25th, 2004, 11:11 PM another aquaphor user
Karri May 25th, 2004, 11:15 PM count me in as another tried & true aquaphor user
Dennis May 25th, 2004, 11:26 PM Yet another aquaphor believer here!
SarahK May 26th, 2004, 10:58 AM What is Aquaphor?
Shanna May 26th, 2004, 12:44 PM It's a lotion. It's in a blue and white tube. I believe its made by Johnson & Johnson. Works GREAT!
Kaari May 26th, 2004, 12:57 PM It's made by the makers of Eucerin (which I also use instead of baby lotion). Aquaphor is great for diaper rash too!

Shanna May 26th, 2004, 12:59 PM THanks. I didn't realize I had a tube of it sitting at my feet
Karri May 26th, 2004, 04:44 PM Yeah - we use it for diaper rash, too. I also started using it on Elliott's recent eczema on his back and it works like a charm! And in a pinch, I will use it for my lips!
I think they sell it by all the lotions and whatnot.
harmonielyn May 26th, 2004, 04:47 PM Glad I found this thread. Madison has a drool rash too and we just so happen to have a sample tube of Aquaphor in her room. I had never heard of it before that.
SarahK May 26th, 2004, 07:20 PM Thanks all--I picked up some Aquaphor today.

This is exactly what I did for Katie's drool rash and it cleared up very quickly!
