How much to pay a babysitter

I could really use some advice. Up until now my mom & MIL have been babysitting my twins on the days that I work (Tues, Thurs, Fri). My mom can no longer take Tuesdays and possibly Fridays. I have a friend that has 2 girls that would love to babysit on those 2 days but I don't know how much to pay them. Any ideas?

I don't think it's really fair that on the days where only one of them comes over I pay her for them both being here.

I paid my high school neighbor $3/hour for one and $5/hr for both.

Your right, if only one is there, I don't think it's fair to pay for both.

When we left Nolan and Elizabeth with a sitter once, we paid her $35.00 for about 6 hours. I am thinking if it were two babies (Elizabeth is older), and if it were for 8 instead of 6 hours, I probably would have paid about $45.00.
