I just wanted to show everyone what I recently purchased. I am trying to lose the extra 20 pounds that I had before I got PG, so I can get PG again soon. Anyway, I am having such a hard time (ok I am being a little lazy too) finding time to work in exercise. I sit at a desk almost all day long (hence I am working right now..don't tell anyone) and my Dr recommended this product.

It is at footsmart.com. Called the low-impact exerciser and it is only 39.95. You can set the resistance and use it under your desk while you work. I just got it and haven't used it much yet, but any kind of impact is a plus for me. Just thought I would see if anyone else is interested. They have more advanced (and expensive) ones that actually tell you how many calories you have burned. Oh, and you can also use it at lunch and put it on the top of the desk and work your upper body too. So much for going to the gym during lunch, when you can work and exercise at the same time. If anyone is interested.

I would think people at my work would think I was a little strange, typing, answering phones and peddling at the same time.... Hey, but if it works, go for it. Nothing wrong with multitasking! Hey, maybe I should get that for home in front of the couch.... serioulsy....I am really not being a smart elic. It has a lesser chance of gathering dust like my treadmill down in the basement. This way you can watch your movie's. tv, and excercise, heck even put it under the dining room table and eat while you do it..............................

Let me know how it works... if you can "feel" it. How much resistance does it have?

You can adjust the tension. I used it for about 5 minutes and it mad my legs a little tired. My problem is that my knees keep hitting the keyboard under the desk, so I have to adjust where it is. I am lucky, I am in a corner where no one can see under my desk. They all think I am a little bit crazy anyway.

Now there's a good idea! Why not get some exercise as long as you're sitting there?

Hey, that is a good idea. I have a heck of a time getting in exercise at home, so maybe it's worth a shot for me! :aok:
