Where would you go this time. Older, little wiser....would you do something different?

I wouldn't change my honeymoon for the world. It was the best vacation I ever took.

That said, if we were to do another honeymoon, we might go for something more relaxing. We honeymooned in Disney, which was great, but we spent the whole time walking around, riding rides, etc. Fun, but exhausting! We're going on a big vacation this summer (last one before we have kids) and it might be Disney again, but probably will be a cruise.

Probably Hawaii or something really exotic like Japan. Actually, originally we were planning to go to Turkey.

We purposely took a low-key and fairly inexpensive HM to Prince Edward Island which was beautiful and peaceful. However, if we had more $$ a more adventurous HM would have been great.

Don and I took a cruise to the Carribean for our Honeymoon. We chose that over Sandals. We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past June, and to celebrate we are going to Sandals Ocho Rios on January 5....a 2nd Honeymoon!!! We can't wait, and are counting the days like little kids! I am looking forward to 8 days in paradise, but will miss our dear Princess Ashton Elizabeth, but know she will be in good hands [we are flying my Mom out to stay here with her].

If I could have a 2nd honeymoon I would go back to where we were for our first. :lol: But instead of 5 days on Oahu and 5 days on Kauai I would just stay on Oahu the whole time. I loved that hotel so much and think about going back all the time. Maybe in 5 or 10 years....

I had an awesome time on our honeymoon, I don't think I would do it any different. That being said it was my DH's first time south anywhere so now it's the only place he wants to go....and I've been different places and tell him he needs to try other places to, looks like I'll be vacationing in Mexico for the rest of my life :).

I would still go to the Mayan Riviera and stay at the same resort. I would just avoid getting such a bad sunburn that I had to stay in the room for two days!:lol:

That is a tough question actually :lol: We LOVED Sandals Ocho Rios where we had our honeymoon and talk about going back all the time. The one place I would love to go to though is St. Lucia - maybe the Sandals there :lol:

We went to Asheville NC to the Biltmore. It was a wonderful honeymoon, but we stayed in an old B&B...gorgeous, but not a lot of privacy! :lol We originally wanted to go to Disney, but the $$ wasn't there. If we could do it over, we'd either do Disney or go to Grand Cayman Island. I went to GCI in 1996 with my parents and it was awesome...can't wait to go back someday!

The only thing I would've done different was spend less time in Germany and more time in Paris. But at least I have something to look forward to now.

ITALY. London was wonderful and I would absolutely go again, but our other wish if we had more money/time would have been a swing through Italy.

we went to vegas. i would have preferred somewhere 'beachy' but marc hates the beach. :rolleyes:

i have been to london a few times, but he hasn't...i would love to take him there and show him around. (not that we need a second honeymoon, we take tony-less trips all the time :lol: )

I would want to go to Scotland and tour all of the whiskey stills!! Tasting a bit here and there!! Also, I would love to go to Achnacarry Castle, home to the Clan Cameron! I would have to go when the heather is blooming though!

AmyP-I agree completely!! :nod: DH and I had an amazing honeymoon, but it was NOT relaxing! :lol: We were running from one park to the other! It was a fantastic time, but VERY tiring!! :nod:

DH and I wanted to spend our honeymoon at Paris but we couldn't afford it so maybe I'd like that... :nod:

We're hoping to go to New Zeland or Japan. We spent a week in Queensland, AU the first time and had a great time.

We went to Vegas for 3 days and then Hawaii for 7 (Maui for 5 and Oahu for 2). It was a fantastic honeymooon and even better, at a GREAT price. It'd be hard to top it - but if we could do a second honeymoon I think we'd head over to Europe and visit multiple countries.

Well since we eloped, we ended up in Gatlinburg, TN for a weekend. For our 5 year anniversary, we are going to be spending a week in Hawaii. I lived there for a year and hated it then but DH is a war buff so I think that he would love the USS Arizona. Plus he has never been out West so I know that he would love it, that and never flown.... valium will be my friend I think. :biggrin:

I had a wonderful time in Maui and wouldn't trade that for anything, but if (when) we take a second honeymoon I would love to go to Bora Bora. It would be so nice to just sit and relax in the sun in the middle of nowhere and be waited on hand and foot. :D

I wouldnt change our h-moon...I loved every moment of it. That said, we do plan on taking an anniversary trip....hopefully in 2 years for our 5 year.....we want to do a cruise along the coast of greece and that stuff over there.

Well,we're still working on the first honeymoon~we're thinking of a cruise to Alaska!!!!

I would like to add that we loved our honeymoon, and wouldn't change a thing. Sitting on the beach all day was awesome!

I would want our 2nd honeymoon to be Hawaii again. It was so beautiful and it was everything we ever imagined and more when we went there on our honeymoon (Maui & Kaui). I wouldn't change anything....We were there for enough time to be able to relax a little plus go out and do adventurous things....it was the perfect mix. :) One of these years, we will definately go there again. :) It was truly paradise!

I wouldn't change it either! We loved our honeymoon so much, DH took me back for our 1st anniversary. I think our next "alone" trip, I might like a cruise. However, I get motionsickness, so not sure if that would be feasible for me!

I think we were plenty old and wise when we planned our honeymoon - that's why we chose to do our dream vacation (3 weeks in Asia - Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Thailand). It was better than we could have imagined!!

We went to maui and it was paradise.. we loved it and it had the right mix of relaxation and adventure and you are treated so well. On our way out there we also spent a night in San Francisco... It was the best honeymoon.. wouldn't change it for the world.. We've talked about going again for our 5th (this october) but we may try something different, mainly becuz its such a long trip to get out there...

We loved our honeymoon too. We went to Hollywood and Disneyland for two days each. Then we flew to Hawaii... Oahu (3.5 days), Kauai (3.5 days) and Maui (5 days). It was incredible!! The only thing we'd change is that we wouldn't spend any time on Oahu. It was too touristy for us. We do Kauai, Maui and try out the big island.

We didn't have very long for our honeymoon, because I had just started a new job. So we stayed fairly close to home, in Northern California, on the coast. It was gorgeous, and relaxing, and a wonderful start to our marriage. We had several days to just focus on us, and since there wasn't that much that we were dying to see or do, we got to just enjoy each other. So, it was the perfect honeymoon for us. However, for a second honeymoon, we'd love to go somewhere a little more tropical, a little more beachy, and a little more active - maybe the Carribean?

Wow.. I see I'm not alone in my love for Hawaii.

For our HM we went to Oahu, Hawaii (I swam with dolphins.. what can top that??), and Maui... stopping in Vegas for 2 nights on the way back.

Then for our 5 year anniversary we went back... Oahu, Kauai, and Maui again, stopping in San Francisco on the way back.

I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! Hawaii is soooo much better than places like St. Thomas, St. John, etc.

I would someday like to go on a Meditteranean Cruise. I've been saying that for years and it looks like it's going to take me years to get there as well. :lol:

I would love to actually go somewhere! :lol: We only spent a long weekend in Massachussetts for your honeymoon because we were planning a two week vacation to Florida the following February for the Daytona 500. We were going to call that our honeymoon and stay at Disney for a few days. We ended up having to cancel that trip so we never got to take the honeymoon we wanted. I would love to take a trip for our 5 year anniversary. I've always wanted to go on an Alaskan Cruise.

DH and I went to Playa del Carmen, which is just south of Cancun, for our honeymoon. We'd been to Cancun before and loved it so we thought we'd also love Playa del Carmen. Nope! The hotel was horrible and so was the food. I ended up getting sick and we didn't do much of anything. We had been tight on money at the time and the trip was booked through a last minute travel agency so we got a great deal with everthing included. If we could do it over then I'd want to just spend the extra money and go to Hawaii! We keep saying that we're going there for our 5 year anniversary so we still have 2 years to save up for that!

There are so many places I want to go.
I really wanted to honeymoon at Caesars Poconos Resort but the airfare was too expensive.
Hawaii or a cruise would have been nice as well.

We wnet to Sandals Montego Bay for our first honeymoon. WE had a really great time, and Dh would like to go back there. My feeling is there are so many other places we could go why go to the same place again. If $$$ were no object, I would want to go to Hawaii.

For our honeymoon we went to Seattle for two weeks. We would love to go back to visit. He grew up there so he wanted to show me the city and we went and did everything that he wanted to do...I don't think it was as romantic as we wanted it to...don't get me wrong, it still was and was wonderful, but I think a romantic getaway is what we could really use. :)

We went to Hong Kong and Bali for our honeymoon (stayed at the Ritz-Carlton on Bali)--and loved it, would go there again in a heartbeat. The ONLY thing I would change is that we would have spent three weeks instead of ony two.

We went to New York City for our honeymoon, 5 years ago. Wow, has it been that long? :lol: For a 2nd honeymoon, I think we'd go somewhere exotic... an island in the Caribbean maybe.

We had a great honeymoon in Quebec, and I would do it again if we had the same budget. If we had more cash, I would do an eco-tour in Costa Rica.
