View Full Version : Pack N Plays?
~Lisa~ May 10th, 2004, 09:00 PM What kind of pack n play do you have and what do/dont you like about it (please post pictures if you have/can find them)? I am looking for a new one and am curious to see what comments you all have.
Thanks!!
Tori Lynne May 12th, 2004, 02:39 PM I have a Century and it sucks!! It only has a half bassinett and the bassinett and changing table thingy connect together. So when you aren't using the bassinett anymore you also can't use the changing table thing anymore. It sucks! It worked just fine as a newborn when she used the bassinett but I can't think of a reason why we would ever use the PnP again... I think I'm going to take mine to a consignment shop!!
bunkie68 May 12th, 2004, 03:31 PM I have a Graco that includes the bassinet and changing table. I like it a lot, we just haven't ever used it much.
Nocona May 12th, 2004, 03:37 PM I have a Century (I think). I like it ok, though we only used it 5 times total.
Alysia May 16th, 2004, 12:14 AM We have a Graco with just the bassinet. It also has a toy bar. We used it alot when she was first born until we moved her to her bedroom at 7 weeks old. Now we don't use it quite as much. Ours is like this but a different pattern:

tjham May 16th, 2004, 08:07 PM We have several Graco's and love them. I like the ones with wheels best. I also like the toy bag and mobile. We also had a Baby Trend and would not get one of those again. Go for the full bassinet, they outgrow the half size too quickly.
Susan May 17th, 2004, 08:40 AM We have a Baby Trend, and I never use it. When he was a newborn he would nap in the bassinet portion, but once he outgrew that we never used it, except as a giant toy bin. Now that he's getting mobile I'm waiting to see if we'll use it more.
My MIL bought the same one to have at her house and we tried to get Josiah to sleep in it. (He'd outgrown the bassinet, so we just put him in the bottom of the PNP) No go. He wasn't having any of it. Oh well.
Sherry May 17th, 2004, 11:19 AM I have a Graco, and its nice. But, do we use it. NOPE! unless you count throwing her toys in it to clean up a roon using it. Its really a waste of money IMO. Unless you travel and need a place for baby to stay
Snurple May 18th, 2004, 03:17 PM We have a Graco with the bassinett and changing table, cute red plaid one. Never used it.
Editing this to add: I am really short (4'10") and could never lean over to put Sadie in it if she was asleep and I wanted her to stay that way (I just couldn't reach).

Dennis May 18th, 2004, 03:22 PM Ditto to Michele and Sherry. We have this awesome Graco PNP with the bassinet and changing table, and we never used it through 2 babies. When they're not mobile, you don't need to put them in it. And if you just babyproof and gate off the room, you don't need it when they are mobile.

Martian Lullaby May 19th, 2004, 05:20 PM We have one with the changing table feature. Maya used to sleep in it when she was little(r). We packed it up and haven't used it anymore, but she outgrew it lengthwise. I'm not ruling out using the PnP because I definitely want her to be in a playpen when she's mobile.
Sherry May 19th, 2004, 10:17 PM We used the changing table and bassinett feature for about maybe a month..
~Lisa~ May 19th, 2004, 10:38 PM Well I had bought an evenflo pnp but after hearing and reading all kinds of bad reviews I took it back and I bought this Graco pnp from Walmart.

Nanley June 6th, 2004, 08:22 PM We have a Baby Trend with the changing table and half-size bassinet. We never used the changing table part (okay, maybe once or twice), but the small bassinet was wonderful, and the reason we chose that PnP. My son was 5 lbs 1 oz when we came home, and anything bigger was just too huge for him to feel comfortable in.

Cat June 14th, 2004, 07:37 AM We have a Graco with a bassinet changing table. We use ours a lot as we travel quite a bit and its handy to keep at my parents when she is staying there every so often.
