I have a question, how much weight are you supposed to gain in the second trimester? I can't really use my two previous pg as a base because I just gained too much weight with both :blush: too soon and I am trying hard this time not to gain too much, I didn't gain at all my first trimester but then I gained 10 pounds in two weeks in my second :eek: oppps

Hmn....I think it all depends on the person and what their doctor says.

For example, my doctor's rule of thumb is if you gain one pound per week throughout the entire pregnancy, that's fine. Now, not sure if this is just for me (since I'm small) or for everyone. 40 lbs. total weight gain is what my doctor would like to see at most...my first pregnancy I only gained 24 lbs. throughout the entire pregnancy.
