We talked about this some on UB, but I was wondering who else uses cloth pads?
For obvious reasons, I dont' right now, but I'm really looking forward to using them post partum. They were always so much nicer than store bought and soooo comfy! I bought some terry material and I have some flannel left over from diapers (I prefer to make my own).

Okay, I am not CDing at the moment, but may start with #2. Also, I've never used anything but disposable pads, but I rarely use them either. I just almost always use tampons. I hate hate hate pads! I looked into the diva cup thing, but it looked very messy to me so I never actually used it.

I started with the Instead (www.softcup.com (http://www.softcup.com)) and as soon as I start having a period again, IF I ever do , I'm going to get a divacup...

I love love love love my Diva - it's so much more comfortable than tampons for me. In fact, I never used tampons unless I was going swimming - I'm lucky not to have a lot of flow and I always found that a tampon (TMI!!) sucked me dry and I had a hard time getting them out.
I also have some cloth pads - some from Mother of Eden which I really like (they have soft soft microfleece next to you) and some from a WAHM which are ok. They are hemp fleece but I find that they aren't as soft as the others so I do reach for the MOE ones first.

I use cloth pads (well, not really right now! :) ) but I HAD been using WAHM cloth pads for my period.

I have a few different kinds of cloth pads. I have made my own belted pads, which I like because they're attached to me, and not my underwear. The only reason I've always hated disposable pads is because I can't stand having a gap between me and the pad, if that makes sense. But I also have a few nice WAHM cloth pads that snap or velcro around undies. I use them for tampon backup or very light days at the end of my period. It's not big deal to me to throw them in with my other laundry, and I hate the environmental impact of disposables. I would like a divacup but for some reason it scares me a little. I've tried instead softcups and they just do not work for me at all. The diva is smaller and looks cool, but I'm just not there yet. One day!

I have a DIVA cup. I've only used it once so far, so I am still figuring out how often to empty it. My first few days are SUPER HEAVY, so it was leaking if I didn't empty it enough. I have a few WAHM pads, but I do NOT like them at all. There is nothing to hold them in place. I have been eyeing up the Diva pads, but I am not ready to make that financial commitment yet. So I am still using disposable pads as a DIVA back up.

For years I've used Glad Rags. I didn't know about many other options. They work fine, except I never felt the "regulars" were long enough, so I didn't have enough coverage, if that makes sense. The longs are plenty long, but even on light flow days, I needed the extra length. I've now discovered MOE comfort pads and LOVE them. I'm not needing them regularly yet, but do use the panty liners on occasion. So soft and comfy! A friend of mine ordered some and is raving about them, too. She said it's gonna be hard to use the Glad Rags now. So, I, too, will reach for MOE's first and supplement, if need be, with Glad Rags!

I honestly hadn't known anything about cloth pads until I was TTC #2. Someone in one of my Yahoogroups has an online store where she sells them. I had thought, "yuck! what to do with the dirty ones??" I found a pattern for them, though. Like the "cool" cloth dipes out there, I thought it might be interesting to try to learn to sew them. They are SOOO expensive.
Haven't gotten my postpartem AF yet, and was thinking of starting with organic tampons when I do...but I may try one or two cloth pads until I can figure out how to sew! I'm prone to yeast infections, and I think cloth pads might help with this.
