My daughter is 20 month old and I wouldn't say she is picky...well oK, she is picky  ... so what do your kids eat? What is their favorite food? what would you say a typical meal might be? I am trying to come up with some new ideas since she doesn't like the ones I have now...

Caroline eats nearly everything we eat, with the exception of steak and fish. Her favorite meal currently is turkey meatballs and spaghetti.

Joe's favorite at home is mac and cheese, but apparently it's tacos at daycare. We just give him whatever we're eating unless we know it's something he won't like.

right now aidan is really into peanut butter & jelly (fruit spread) sandwiches. when he has one, he has to have carrot sticks and "dip" (ranch dressing) with it every time. his favorites change about once every other week.

Janelle is also very picky...and her favorites change constantly. This week though she seems to think pretzels and cheerios are all she needs to eat.

I love to cook and I hate the idea of giving her prefab food but no matter what I make for dinner it seems to turn her stomach. She puts the little hand up and turns her head and says "no no no". It's cute but frustrating. SHe wants noodles all the time and by that I mean lipton noodle soup. She had it at my sisters and now she begs for it. That and CHEESE!!! AGH! I feel so mean because I have to say no but if she had it her way she would eat cheese, noodles and babanas exclusively

Jack will never say no to pizza, yogurt, and grapes. Last night he had (no kidding) half a loaf of Italian bread (he would not share with us  ) and grapes. His pickiness is driving us all nuts! He's also gotten into PB&J lately too, so that's what I ususally send to school with him for lunch.

Kiaeryn's a picky eater...some days more than others. Her favorite foods are anything chocolate flavored  , pizza and pizza-flavored Goldfish crackers. Other top choices are spaghetti and hamburgers.

We usually serve her what we're having, but if I know she probably won't like the main course, I offer a couple sides that she is likely to eat. Various sauces also seem to help. I keep trying to think of new and creative ways to get fruits and veggies in her -- I hide stuff in the the meatloaf, spaghetti sauce and chocolate pudding.

Tyrus is pretty good with eating, for the most part. He loves any type of bread, fruits and meats. Veggies are sketchy, though he does like raw veggies (like carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, radishes, etc) but rarely will eat cooked. He did like corn on the cob though the other night since it had a stick in it!

He will eat any type of cereal, and loves any and all breakfast foods. The only fruit I can't get him to eat is pineapple. :dunno:

Jason will eat pretty much anything, but if you give him more than one food on his plate at a time (like a sandwich and some kind of fruit) he will only eat one kind of food and won't touch anything else. And it depends on the day which food he'll choose. But his favorite foods are macaroni and cheese, PB&J, and pancakes. One night DH made sloppy joes and Jason ate three of them  but then last night when he made them Jason only ate half of one. So it also depends on the night.

Caden is a very picky eater also. His favorites are soy cheese pizza (allergic to milk), spagatti, banannas, and if I would let him saltand vinager chips.

I am in need of ideas also for him

Victoria and Alex are given whatever we are eating for meals dinner. Sometimes they will eat it and sometimes they won't. Their current favorites are:

Victoria: Mac-n-cheese, popcorn, pretzels, apples, and corn.

Alex: cooked carrots (must have eaten a half a pound of steamed carrots one night), pasta with alfredo sauce, apples and watermelon.

They both really like the Gerber Graduates Wagon Wheels, waffles, and fruit snacks which they get as a treat in their lunches.

Julian eats pretty much anything he can cram into his little piehole. Some things he generally never turns down:

*cheese (he could eat his body weight in cheese if I'd let him)
*broccoli with butter
*macaroni and beef (but he doesn't like macaroni and cheese, go figure)
*French toast
*grits with cheese
*bacon
*crackers or chips, pretty much any kind, any flavor (he'll lick salsa - and I mean hot salsa, none of the weenie mild stuff, thanks very much  - off tortilla chips!)
*milk, milk and more milk - he drinks it like there's no tomorrow
*French fries
*Cheerios
*pudding
*cookies
*salmon
*green salad - he loves it!

He wants NOTHING to do with any toddler food or any of the Graduates food - it's what mama's eating or nothing!

Brigit would pretty much live on bagels with cream cheese if I let her. That is her favorite food, hands down.

Other foods that always (well, almost always!) meet with her approval:
Grilled cheese sandwiches
Any kind of fruit
Baby carrots
Red bell pepper
Broccoli with ranch dip (she won't touch broccoli w/o dip, but loves it with dip.)
Plain yogurt with bananas, raisins or apples mixed in.
Cold whole wheat pancakes spread with butter or applesauce.
Minestrone soup
Black bean soup
Graham crackers spread with peanut butter or almond butter
Cheddar cheese omelettes, or scrambled eggs with parmesan
Whole wheat noodles with butter and parmesan or feta cheese on top
Cubes of tofu - she likes them plain but she really loves to dip them into chutney or yogurt sauce.
Poached or broiled chicken breasts and thighs, with catsup or BBQ sauce for dipping.
English muffins with cheddar cheese melted on top, or with peanut butter or cream cheese.

[I didn't realize how much "dipping" we do around here until I made this list! :) ]

Patrick is can be picky at times but I find he grazes throughout the day which i think has caused this.

His favourite foods would have to be..

Rice crackers
Pasta Spirals
Cheese
Carrot sticks

Nicholas has a list of things he'll usually eat, but there really isn't anything he'll always eat.

Chicken nuggets
French fries
Hot dogs
Ham
Macaroni & cheese
Spaghetti (with or without sauce)
Mashed potatoes (only if they have gravy on them)
Mixed diced fruit
Melon (like you get on a fruit tray, in chunks)
Pickles
Chocolate chip Teddy Grahams (sometimes this is all he'll eat for breakfast)

So mealtime for him is a constant rotation of the list. If we try anything else, it gets launched off the highchair tray.

Paige is picky, here is the very short list of foods she will eat

~instant oatmeal
~yogourt
~Pasta, she likes scooby doo shaped best, butter and cheese, no sauce
~pudding(vanilla, she will each chocolate but we try our best to avoid it)
~cream of mushroom or chicken soup
~chicken broth soup with some pasta in it with cheese
~cheese( this depends on the week, she used to like sliced process but went off that and only ate cheddar, got tired of that and only ate swiss :tearhair: )
~very very rarely will she have some salad with raspberry vinagrette
Oh she would love if we gave her cookies and fruit snacks all day
I don't worry too much about it though she gets enough milk in her diet and she isn't losing weight so something is working :)

Katie will almost always eat anything. There is very little that she won't eat. Her favorite food is definitely cheese, though. If you gave her a leather belt to eat, she'd eat it, as long as it was covered in cheese.

Yep...Adam too. He has recently become a VERY picky eater. He's always happy with his cheese, though. I've gotten creative with it. Do you know what I do? I buy slices of mozzarella cheese and carve out eyes, nose, mouth, ear, hair pieces. I stick it on top of whatever meal he eats as a decoration, and he's so taken with the funny face, that he ends up eating the cheese, then at least trying the meal, and 50% of the time it's a success, and he eats what is on the plate.

Cameron eats pretty much anything (except veggies, but that is because we don't eat a lot so we don't cook them). His new favorite food is cucumbers dipped in ranch dressing (or anything else dipped in ranch dressing).
