We are trying to plan a trip to visit mil (so grandmother in law can meet her great grandkids). While we are there we plan to go to Disney World (mil lives 30 minutes away)...we plan to go for a week, but probably only 2-3 days would be spent in the parks... We are looking at january-april as possible dates...anyone know when the best time (As far as crowds and stuff) is to go during that period? Also what should we definitely do while there? I've been to Disney about 20 times, but not since I was 16 (so '96) DH has only been once for a band thing and he was only there not in a parade for a total of 2 hours, he road thunder mt. and space mt. and that is all he did. Janelle will be 27-30 months old and Caid will be 9-13 months old about depending on when we go.

Our experience...
We went for one day with with Victoria (29 months) and Alex (15 months). Victoria liked the characters from a distance but would not get close to them for pictures or anything. Alex didn't have any choice since daddy held him but I'm sure if he had it his way he would have ran away. They liked the few rides we went on and had a meltdown at the end of the day because they were so tired.
The day we went was during the week of Easter which is Spring break time for a lot of kids so the park was absolutely packed. The wait for a lot of rides was almost an hour for some and even the fast pass had times 3 hours away. The kids didn't like standing still for too long. We could only see the tops of the floats during the parades too since the people were all lined up on the sidewalks about 10 deep so the kids missed alot of that. We swore that we will never try to go to Disney during that time of year again!
We had gone there before the week after the Daytona 500 in February and it wasn't that bad.

stay away from march & april. WAY too crowded, especially april after easter. also president's week in february as many in the northeast have feb. vacation.
i would go late january :nod: we went during that time in '03 and loved it, low low crowds and decent weather, jeans and t-shirt, but cool at night. tony was 9m at the time and we had lots of fun with him.
