Hi there

I live in Vancouver but I grew up just outside of Montreal so hopefully I can give you some suggestions. We were back ther ein November.

Places to go:
~ Old Montreal: The waterfront is there and there are cobblestone streets with lots of little stores and terrace retererants. There are a lot of outside entertainers and artists.

~Notre dame Catherdral~ Gorgous church. It is in Old Monteal and the architecure is amazing. Side note: it is where Celone Dion got married.

~ St Joseph's Oritury~ Another amazing church right on the montain.

~Mont Royal~ There is a great lookout where you can see the city.

~ Botanical Gardens~ beautiful gardens withing walking distance of Olympic stadium

~ Downtown~Lots and lots of shopping and places to eat.

If you like Greek food go to Prince Arthur Street. there are tons of resteraunts Greek as well as Italina resteraunts there.

There is also an amazing Thai restaurant on Guy just south of St Catherine's. Unfortunately I can't remember the name.

If you want to try Montreal's famous smoke meat or cheese cake, go to Dunns or Rubens ( deli type food). Nickels are good as well. There are several of them.

Since you are going in June, check out if there are any festivals. The Jazz festival is at the end of June. There are alot of free outdoor concerts.

That is all I can think of for now but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I looked up the Thai restaurant since the name was bugging me. It is:
Restaurant Phayathai
1235 rue Guy
Montreal, QC

If there is any other type of food that you were thinking, let me know I might be able to suggest something. :)

Montreal is a really cool city - you'll have an awesome time! You have to check out Peel St if you're interested in pubs and cool restaurants. I love Old Montreal though.
