Hi there- I just wanted to see what people thought about the birthing balls...
Are they worth it? Should I get one? Do you just still on them like a chicken tring to hatch an egg  Just kidding... seriously wanted to know if you got one and would you reccommend it?

TIA!

I bought one and it was GREAT! Heck, I wish I would've bought it sooner! I was able to relieve a lot of the back pain I was having. But, don't sit on it for too long at one time because your hips will hurt. I just remember that it was the only comfortable way to sit there at the end of pregnancy.
I also use it to exercise with, and I do use it atleast every other day. Totally worth the investment. They help to strengthen stabilizing muscles that don't get used as often. It will help you gain your abs back because you have to use those muscles to stay seated on the ball and keep your balance.
I give it a thumbs up! Oh, and I just bought an exercise ball from Target.... I checked and re-checked and they seemed similiar to what I saw online, but cheaper at the store.

I just bought an exercise ball too. I think I got it at Wal-Mart. I sat on it a lot once I hit 40 weeks and he still wasn't here. I really think it helped me dilate at the end :aok:

I think they are one of the BEST investments you can make for a labor and birth is a ball. PLUS the encourage "correct" positioning at the end of pregnancy as well.

DEFINITELY!! I took one to work and used it instead of a chair. And, when I labored in the hospital, I used one and it helped SO much!!!!

I love mine (which DH got before I was pg for ab work).

It is my 'TV' seat. Also when my back hurts I can drape my body over it and stretch my back.
