Is there anything (parenting wise) that your S/O does better than you do?

I just changed DD and realized that DH *always* puts DD's daipers on perfectly. Everything is all even. I can get the job done but they dont look as nice as when he puts them on.

Mary is much better at figuring out their clothes - what they need, buying them, organizing them, etc. It's the one thing I'm still clueless about.

Ummm, does worrying count? He's always worried that she's going to bite her tongue in half if she comes down the steps on her butt, or that she's going to choke on her pizza if I don't cut it into microscopic pieces, or that her toes are going crooked from too-small shoes, blahblahblah.
But he's also really good at bath time. :)

That's Jim too. Then he wonder's why Victoria will jump on Alex's back to play with him.
With Alex he was a lot better than me in getting him to go to sleep at night when he was an infant. We are pretty much equal on everything else except picking out clothes for them (buying and to wear). I do a better job with that.

Dh has always done bath time and nail clipping. And now he does a really good job with our toddler's hair. His pony tails and braids always look great. I haven't even tried braids yet and my pony tails are sufficient. But his are neat and beautiful!

That's funny Amylee! DH sucks at both ponytails and braids!
DH is much better at being "fun" than I am. She has much more fun playing with him. He's better at bath time too.

DH is much better at bathing her for some reason - he's very detail oriented  Nail clipping, diaper garbage emptying (thank god!) and bottle feeding (I don't give her bottles, only BF)

DH is better at filing her nails, giving her bottle, burping her, and "playing rough" with her.

DH is much better at bath time. With me, its time to get clean. With him, its an event. He is also much, much better at getting Maggie to sleep than I am.

DH is better at feeding Jackson than I am (solids), he does the airplane, and makes a game out of it. Jackson eats a lot more of his food when DH does it. I try, but I guess I am just not as fun as DH :dunno:

DH is better at getting Kaylin to go to bed sooner. I fall for all her stall tactics and it becomes a 1.5 hour ordeal.

HA! :rotflmao: To be better at something, he'd actually have to *do* something in the first place. He does help out from time to time, but most everything Julian-related is mine most all the time.

DH is better at rough-housing with her, and better at being the *fun* one. He's competent at everything else, though, and helps a lot, so I can't complain.

 And I wouldn't say he's better at this, but rather that Mason allows him to clip his fingernails and brush his teeth. With me it is a huge screamfest for teeth brushing, and I feel bad because I know I am rough with him because I am struggling to get the toothbrush in and scrub while holding a grabby squirmy boy.
And I can't bribe him with smarties/M&M's to do his nails, but if I tell him I'll paint his toenails he'll let me cut his finger/toenails. Naturally I won't be able to do that in the summer. Patrick hates it when I do that, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! :)

DH is better than I am at dealing with DD if she wakes up during the night. When I'm sleep-deprived, I get cranky and frustrated. DH seems to have infinite patience during the middle of the night. I seem to have more patience than him during the day, though.

This is totally me...for me, it's get them in and get them clean. When he does it, it lasts longer, and they have way more fun!
Some of the others that you guys mentioned that Mike is much better at than me as well: 'playing rough' with her and worrying. Oh, and diaper garbage emptying (well, garbage emptying in general  ).

Wayne is better at calming Jason down when he's having a temper tantrum. I either get frustrated or just ignore him until he's done, but Wayne somehow knows exactly what to do to distract him and get him to stop screaming. When I try to distract him, he only gets more upset. If he's just being fussy or whiny, I'm more patient with him though. It's just the full-blown temper tantrums Wayne is better at. :)

Bill is much better at playing with her. She LOVES to play with daddy. They even have their own little games that only he and her play. One of these games is "Baby Back Ribs" He'll say 'I'm getting hungry!!" in his goofy voice and she automatically starts giggling. He will tickle her ribs and sing the baby back ribs song  It's very cute.

DH definitely has a way of making Emily laugh that I never could... he just looks at her in a certain way and she goes NUTS. It's wonderful, but it's frustrating when I spend all day trying to make her laugh and all he has to do is look at her!
