You would think with all the TTC that I have been doing the past 5 years I would know this but I don't. So here goes. I did an OPK test on Monday. I forgot to look at the results until about an hour later. When I looked at it it was positive (both lines were pretty freaking dark). Since I wasn't sure if it was a + or not I went ahead and did another one yesterday. The second line was not as dark as the test line; even an hour later. So my question is this. Was the test on Monday actually positive or not? I feel like such a tard for not knowing. :silly: FWIW I have been having ovulation cramps since Monday. Yesterday they were really painful. Does that have anything to do with it?? TIA for your help.

It's been a while since I used them, but I'd say that Monday's test was positive. I seem to recall that it tests positive about 24 hrs prior to ovulation?

Even though I waited an hour before reading the test results??

Melissa, it's been a while since I used OPKs, too, so I really don't know. Do you still have the package? i would look on there to see what time window they give you for reading the test... or maybe look it up online under the manufacturer... that is the best I got for you this morning :lol:

I do have the package. :duh: I didn't even think about reading the freaking insert. Sometimes I really wonder about myself. :lol: FWIW it's the Answer brand. From what I have read they aren't that reliable. Maybe next time I'll try the Clearblue. IDK...I just hate that I am still freaking TTC after all this F*cking time!!:furious: Sorry...just needed to vent my frustration. :biggrin: All better now.
