I understand its benefits are to increase EWCM? Are there any other (infertility related) benefits? Are there certain days of the cycle I should and shouldn't drink it?

Hi again, Shannon! :wavey: Just thought I'd post a bit of info for you, even though I've never personally tried green tea. It seems that it has more benefits in acting as an antioxidant than it does in increasing CM, but it probably wouldn't hurt to drink it anyway.

Green Tea Green tea is a great antioxident. It will assist the body to rid itself of free radicals which can damage cells. By drinking at least one cup of green tea a day you will assist your body in the production of healthier eggs.
(these two sites don't discuss fertility benefits, but other possible benefits of green tea)

And some info on other natural remedies that do seem to have a more direct effect on fertility: http://www.attachedmamas.com/faq/fertility.html (http://www.attachedmamas.com/faq/fertility.html)

Sorry, but I couldn't really find anything to substantiate the claim that green tea specifically increase EWCM. :dunno: I hope this helps a little, though!

Wow, Lisa!!! Thank you! That's a lot of great information. Even if it doesn't raise my EWCM, its pretty healthy. I'm sure this is a major coincidence, but I had 2 cups last week and then I had the most EWCM since coming off the pill 15 months ago and I ovulated on my own!!!!!!!!!

That's awesome, Shannon! :woo: It's very encouraging that you saw a noticeable change; anything you can do to help your body without having to take prescription meds is a good thing, IMO. I found one or two sites (other chat boards) where ladies swore they had lots of EWCM after drinking green tea, so it's entirely possible that it helped you. I just wasn't able to find much specific information about CM and ovulation as a result of green tea. :dunno: But, like you said, there are many other health benefits to drinking it, so it certainly can't hurt! ;)

I just wanted to say that I have tried the green tea thing. Actually, I really like it and usually drink around three cups a week, sometimes more. I ususally drink it hot right before I go to bed. Anyway, I never saw a real difference in my ewcm specifically related to the green tea. I have noticed a difference the longer I have been off the pill. I also noticed a BIG difference when I stopped taking Clomid. I was on Clomid and Etrace for three cycles. The EWCM was the same on the Clomid as it was before, but when I went off, I had tons of it.

I swear by Green Tea. I drank a cup or two a day the cycle I conceived Morgan 2 years ago, and I am convinced that helped. I don't think it is some miracle cure for anything or that it was the sole reason I was able to get pregnant, but I do think it helped.
