My lower back has been a little tender & sore lately. Then the other day, one of our cats stepped on my backbone, and it hurt so much! A little while later, I realized that the exact spot of the pain is where I got my epidural 3 months ago. Is this normal?

I have heard of that. Maybe they nicked the nerve a little bit with the needle? Hopefully it won't be like that forever.

I had backpain for about 6 months after Peyton was born and it was in the spot where my epidural was, also. I think my sister had the same problem. Luckily, mine went away.

Cool. As long as its normal and I don't have to worry about it getting worse, I'm ok with it being sore. I hope its not a permanent thing, though.

How weird! I was going to post about this for the last week, but thought it was just me! I am 3 and a half weeks post partum and about a week ago started getting pain right where my epidural was! Its not bad pain but its uncomfortable, especially when Im sitting a certain way. I hope it does go away tho!

I have the same pain too, it doesn't hurt all the time, but when it does, it is in the same spot where my epidural was. I am over 5 months PP, I hope it goes away soon...

I hope I don't scare any of you....
I had back pain. It was kind of like what Rhonda mentioned... it was uncomfortable when I sat a certain way. I talked about it with my Doctor... the day after delivery and then again at my 6 week checkup. She said we'd just keep an eye on it. Two months go by, so I start talking with my primary care Doctor. She tries some anti-inflammatory meds... I don't really notice too much difference. At this time, the pain is becoming more often, and it hurts more. It also shoots down my leg, but mostly in my butt.
To make a long story short (too late), I herniated a disc in my spine and it was pinching on my nerve, causing the weird pain down my leg. If you touch my spine where the bad disc is, it hurts. DH felt for a long time it was my epidural, but a MRI showed different. My Doctor and I believe that I herniated the disc during delivery because of the correlation of not really having pain until AFTER birth.
I really didn't think it was anything so serious, but after awhile, I did have it checked out "just in case". Although, my pain got significantly worse with time. That's why I bring this up... in case someone is sitting there thinking, "hmmm, well, it's not as easy to live with as it used to be...."
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
