Growing up, everything Santa brought was left under the tree, wrapped. (unless it was a bike or something). Santa had special paper that was different than what our parents used.

For DH, Santa never wrapped. All that Santa brought was left under the tree in the box it came in or just laid out.

Does your Santa wrap?

Nope! He's too busy to bother with wrapping paper.

Santa left only one gift for each child and it was unwrapped.

Depended on if it was oddly-shaped/too big/some other wrapping issue. :) If it was a normal sized box then sure, it was wrapped, but in Santa's special wrapping paper (wrapping paper from Santa is the one that has pictures of Santa on it, naturally!)

Sheila, our situation is exactly opposite yours. In my family, Santa gifts were never wrapped, whether it was a bike, a special doll, or my favorite: my silver flute when I was a sophomore in high school. DH's parents wrapped everything, and all gifts were marked 'from Santa' except one or two.

He decided he liked my parents' tradition better, so that's how we'll do the kids gifts.

We didn't get presents from our parents either. They were all from Santa except for the ones from each of the kids to each other or to our parents.

We got most of our stuf from Santa. Mom & dad usually got us clothes, which we really just tossed aside.

Well, when we were young enough to believe in Santa, he didn't wrap. These days "Santa" wraps it all. I've never thought to ask DH... This year, Santa is not wrapping Micah's gifts. I don't know if we'll continue in the future or not...

In my family, Santa wrapped everything when I was little, including the stocking stuffers. Dh's family Santa had his own special wrapping paper, but did not wrap stocking stuffers. In our house he wraps everything, although dh complains about having to wrap stocking stuffers. This year I went with seperate paper from Santa.

No he (though I should say she since I'm sure it was all my Mom ;) ) doesn't. He didn't wrap everything, but I'm trying to teach my daugther about St. Nicholas not Santa... St. Nicholas didn't wrap things he gave to the poor... so we aren't wrapping "Santa" gifts. It makes it easier for my daughter to wake up and see a toy she knows she'll love.

Yes, he did at my house. You know I should have figured it out before I did, because my family usually either hired someone dressed as Santa to come and bring a "big" present, or had someone knock on the door and leave presents outside. Then he'd come back with our stocking stuff. I may have to change that for Madelynn. Kids are getting smarter these days!

When I was a kid Santa wrapped his gifts in different paper, and wrapped up our stocking things in tissue paper.

Now, the tradition we are going to do with Chloe is having Santa's gifts be unwrapped and under the tree Christmas morning ,....but he WILL still wrap up stocking stuffers in tissue paper. :)

We are doing this out of pure laziness! LOL

Mine were wrapped in "Santa Only" paper, DH's were not wrapped. Not sure what we will do, but since it doesn't matter much to me, we will most likely leave them unwrapped.

We had the same thing and are planning on doing the same with Hunter. The only thing Santa is bringing that own't be wrapped is his big Fisher Price Workshop and that will be all out of the box and set up Christmas morning.

We wrap Santa's gifts in plain red or plain green paper... Everything else is wrapped in the more comercial papers. So, we can keep track of them that way!

The only thing Santa didn't wrap for me was my bike. It's funny, I never realized this before, but he used the same exact paper that my mom used.

Santa always wrapped! For our kid(s) "Santa" will wrap too. It helps to heighten the anticipation. :D

Growing up, Santa always wrapped too! However, there were some things that weren't wrapped....bikes, doll houses, stereos, and even some bigger stuffed animals/dolls were sometimes displayed nicely on top of some gifts. :) The big gifts like that were always pre-assembled (by Santa of course! ) and it made for some great "oooohs and aaaaahs" coming down the stairs! :)

We will do it the same way with our family. The one present that we will not be wrapping for Alexia is her rocking horse. James, I mean Santa, will be putting it together a day or two before xmas day. :)

We didn't get anything from our parents either. Everything was from Santa. My gifts were (and still are) wrapped in red paper and my sister's were wrapped in green. Everything was wrapped. For years, our Santa also brought our Christmas tree and decorations. My poor mom was up all night on Christmas Eve decorating the tree and the house.

DH's family doesn't believe in Santa so all his gifts were from his parents and they were all wrapped and put under the tree as they were bought so they were all there BEFORE Christmas morning. What fun is that?

I am considering not wrapping some of Rebekah's gifts (they will all be Santa gifts). For instance, I think I will put together the baby highchair she is getting and have the baby sitting in it so she can play with it right away. It's torture waiting for mom or dad to assemble toys.

My parents assembled the stuff and then wrapped it (except for the really huge things like the bumper pool table), which is what I plan to do for stuff that needs to be assembled. That way they still have the excitement of unwrapping it and they can play with it right away.

Santa always wrapped our gifts - probably even in the same paper that we all used!

We didn't get anything from our parents either. Well, my youngest brother did because he wanted to know what my parents were getting him. So his stuff was from my parents or Santa.

Oh yes, wrapped all the way! We had special paper from Santa, and even the stockings were (are!!) wrapped in special tissue. My DH is too lazy to do anything like this but since I'M SANTA I can do anything I want!!!! We won't wrap if it's just too big, but you know what, I can wrap anything!!!!!!!!

It is the same way with us. My presents from Santa were wrapped, DH's weren't.

I was originally thinking-Santa didnt wrap?!?! My parents wrapped everything down to bikes! No lie! And Everything was from Santa, not my parents and I didnt think anything of it at the time! And we made sure to see what was wrapped in our stockings first! There were cool things in there! :)

Nothing in our stocking was wrapped, and that was all we got from Santa. Everything under the tree was wrapped, and that was where we got presents from parents, sibs, etc. With the stocking though we always got big gifts and then the stocking was stuffed leaning up against it. So, one year I got a baby bassinet and a doll from Santa, and inside the bassinet with the doll was the stocking. Inside the stocking we would always get things like, underwear, toothpaste, socks, books and usually cassette tapes or other fun little things.

In our house Santa wraps in a completely different paper than all other presents. Jennifer's are usually red or blue, William's are ALWAYS green and Jacob's are anything cartoony. Santa presents are always in seperate piles for each child on the couch...presents from family and from James and I are placed under the tree on Christmas Eve when all hands are in bed...

My presents from Santa were always wrapped in special Santa wrapping paper. But suspiciously, Santa had the same handwriting as mom! It was QUITE baffling!!!

Santa always wrapped our presents and oddly enough he always had the same wrapping that mom and dad did!
I'd imagine when we have kids that Santa will wrap their presents as well. I think half the fun is seeing all those gifts under the tree, wonderimg what they are and tearing into them.

When I was growing up, Santa never wrapped. He doesn't wrap at our house either.

They were discussing this the other morning on the radio station I listen to, and they came to the conclusion that it's just a regional thing.

Yes eveything was wrapped. I remember when I was a kid and my parents gave us(my two sisters and I) one movie (ET) as a gift between the three of us. I remember thinking Why does Santa bring all these gifts and Mommy and Daddy only give us one?
Ah to be a kid again!
