My girls wear a ton of Carter's clothes. We have a Carter's outlet nearby so I can get some great deals. I also really like Old Navy's clothes.

But really they have all sorts of brands. I'm not super particular.

I love Gymboree and The Children's Place, but can't afford it unless they are on sale. Thankfully, there are some great resale shops here in Indy where I can pick up clothes really cheap! Old Navy and Carter's are other favorites I buy for Emily. I'm impressed with TCP for wearability...her stuff stays nice after multiple washings.

Ebay is also a good resource for Gymboree items......

If I am buying I love baby gap, old navy, gymboree, childrens place (for girls), baby lulu, mulberribush, echo fields cottons, flapdoodles, and Florence Eismann. However, we have tons of cute Carters stuff that we got as gifts (their infant stuff is so cute and soft!)
I wont pay full price for anything, though. I am a bargain hunter!!

I would like to bring something up.I frequent another site where the members have become disenchanted with Gymboree for a number of reasons. We will be boycotting this store during the month of Janaury and will be letting the company know why. Interested in joining? PM me.

We're not picky - we go with whatever works (or what we get as gifts!) Caroline's closet runs the gamut from Walmart and Target to Little Me and Gymboree and Liz Claiborne Kids!

I would say that 90% of Jordans wardrode is Gymboree, with the rest being stuff that I find on super clearance at the Dept stores and TJMaxx and such.
I am a big bargain hunter though, so it isn't too bad. Plus with baby #2 a boy as well and due within 2 weeks of Jordans birthday, I know that all this stuff will get plenty of use.

I HATE to spend money on clothes! So... anything given is always a big plus with me! Lately when I've had to buy for Zoe I've gone to the Osh Kosh outlet near me... and I look at the gap kids for sales. Old Navy is always affordable. Those are my three favs. I'm totally opposite of lots of moms... I DROOL over the boys clothes and groan over the girls. I STILL get asked by people "How old is he?" when they see Zoe at times  Maybe once her hair comes in....

I own a children's consignment shop, so most of Maddie's clothes come from there. I'm not picky about brands though. If it's cute and fits her well, that's all that matters to me... but we do have a lot of brand name stuff in the store... so it works out well for me.

I love the Children's Place clothes. They wear well and fit well. Almost all of Rebekah's clothes are from there.

Our TCP is a huge outlet (in Arundel Mills mall). I got a bunch of winter stuff there this past spring for $0.66 each (marked down to $0.99 and then 30% off that).

Heather - I still have to make it to your consignment shop. I'm such a bad online friend.

She also has clothes from Old Navy....along with Tommy Girl brand and Baby Phat designer brands too. :) I LOVE shopping for clothes for Alexia!!! :) Yes, I guess you can say I'm picky with her clothes.

Kim...my sister says the same thing about boys clothes all the time (she has a 2 1/2 yr. old)! Never as much of a selection and not as many colors.

I'm another Children's Place fan... we have an outlet pretty close to us and I visit it as often as my wallet allows it, b/c I know I'm going to come out of there with A LOT! I also like Osh Kosh jeans they fit Eliot really good and I can usually find them at a good price at the outlet mall.
I buy most of his playclothes in Walmart & Kid to Kid.

Well, boy clothes options are SO much more limited ... sigh. I buy a lot of Gymboree on sale, plus Old Navy, The CHildren's Place, Gap outlet ... lots of Carters from the outlet store near us. But I get a whole lot from TRU too :) I really like the boys clothes there -- they are good "bruiser" clothes for my big boy!!

Having a little girl is not so good for my wallet...the clothes are just too darn cute! Our favorites are Gap, Janie and Jack, Gymboree, Hanna Andersson, and Jacadi (for higher-end stuff). I've also found some really cute things at Target.

Well, my personal obsession (yes it is an obsession) is baby clothes from The Disney Store, they discontinued them from June 2002 till November 2003 and you wouldn't believe how excited I was when they brought them back this year!!! I also buy old lines of them on e-bay.

I also like old navy, baby lulu, gymboree (though I'm not to impressed with their boy's stuff thus far), zutano, and I've had a few bright future things that I've LOVED but a lot of their stuff is ugly (imho).

I have to admit that I really don't like tcp's clothes(except for stretchies!), but they make the only pants/skirts that will stay on my skinny little girl, so she has a lot of them.

Old Navy is less than a mile from our house so I get most of her stuff there even if it is full price (although their low rise pants for toddlers are driving me nuts!!!)

Baby Gap but only if on sale. I can always find something at Children's place. Gymboree has been hit or miss. Target has some really cute stuff! And when I pick up diapers at Wal-mart, I always end up buying a few things there too.

Lately, I've liked shopping at H&M.

She has a few Carter's pieces but most of those are gifts. When my sister travels overseas, she always comes back with a ton of clothes for Lauryn!

I have a little boy and while I am sure baby girls are more fun to shop for, I still have fun shopping for him, nonetheless. Probably because I have a shopping addiction

I am NOT a fan of Gymboree, at all. I think Nolan has had one onsie and one pair of sweatpants from there and I bought them from a resale shop. I am sure the quality is fine, I just have never been in love with any of there styles/color palettes/etc....

Nolan's clothes are mostly Old Navy, Baby Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Target, The Children's Place and assorted sports manufacturers for his Dallas Cowboys wardrobe  I also buy 90% of his clothes from a great resale shop. I have to drive about 45 minutes but it is so worth it. Last time I was in there I got Nolan about 8 shirts/sweaters/fleeces/etc, 4 pairs of casual bottoms, a heavy jacket, a one piece sweatsuit thing and a toy I had been looking for, all for $60.00 and all but one or two of the things were Old Navy or Baby Gap and everything still looked brand new or only very slightly worn. Man, do I love that place! When I do pay full price it is usually only at Target, sometimes Old Navy if it is on sale and The Children's Place, I have found they are really inexpensive on alot of their stuff.

I think some of the higher end stuff from places like Janie and Jack (we just got a new one!) and Hanna Andersen (sp?) are really nice but the only way I would ever consider paying those kinds of prices is if it were a *really* special event. Even if I worked, I honestly can't see *myself* paying those prices for clothes he will shortly outgrow when I can get great quality clothes for so much less! I love finding good deals, I feel like I have hit the jackpot

I love Gymboree, and I also like The Children's Place but their stuff doesn't fit Jacob right. :( I used to Love Carter's, but they don't have as many cute things for toddlers. When Jacob was an infant almost his entire wardrobe was from Carter's. Now it's mostly from Gymboree or Target.

I disagree that there isn't much selection for boys clothes! There is so much more now than when I have my other son 13 years ago. I can say I haven't bought too many clothes for Ben because my family continues to buy for him, but when we do it's usually Carter's or Children's Place.....on sale at both places. Never full price. My sister shops at Gymboree and Baby Gap. The only thing I really like at Gymboree for the boys is their onsies. They run a little big, so Ben can wear them longer and they hold up. My mom shops at JCPenney or any place else she finds something cute. It really doesn't matter to me.

I have had trouble with Carter's quality lately....ie. I was everything in cold water and I am still having a problem with fading and the material balling up.....really disappointing.

My newest favorite......unfortunately is mostly down south.....is Mervyn's! My mom and I both bought him some long-sleeve onsie turtlenecks and pants when it started getting cold. I have washed them several times and they still look great and both are still very soft! If you have Mervyn's, you might want to check it out. And, if you catch a good sale, they aren't terribly expensive.

I have two girls as well, and therefore feel less guilty for spending money on the oldest...it gets passed down and gets lots of wear :blush1: I love Euro brands like Oilily and Kenzo the best. Lili Gaufrette is another fave, as is Catimini. Local favorites are Gymboree and Gap for the basics. Shoes are another thing all together. I love Primigi and Naturino, and have to go to fun boutiques in Seattle to locate them. I love having girls, but have forgotten to dress myself! Can anyone relate?

I'm addicted to Old Navy for my boys. I think that about 75% of their summer wardrobe was from there and I am working on buying their fall clothes now. Fortunately my family knows that I love Old Navy so most of them buy the boys gifts from there as well. I also like Carter's and Osh Kosh too! I tend to focus more on what the boys wear these days than myself!

I have a boy and girl. I love European brands like Oilily, Catimini, Marese, Pampolina, Toff Togs. I usually get a lot these boutique clothes either second hand in Germany/ England or on sale.
My son wears also a lot of Carter's and Oshkosh and some Gap. Le Top, Hanna Anderson and Deux Par Deux are fun brands, too. I am so so glad that I found H&M here now, too. Great, colorful clothes, good quality, but cheap.
And lots of clothes come from my mother in Germany. Always love gifts.

I love all the European brands...they are so beautiful :) Gymboree and Janie and Jack are really cute for girls, but I am not a huge fan of their boy items.
Parker is mostly in Hanna Andersson or WAHM boutique clothing. I love handmade items because you can make it whatever you want. I just got tons of ideas for boys so now I just need to start sewing :)

I wanted to add a couple more brands....
Ok...this season Alexia's wardrobe is also consisting of alot of RocaWear and J-Lo. TG we're having another girl....as I don't feel as bad spending an arm and a leg on the designer clothes like these.

For the longest time, we were all about Gymboree for Katie's clothes, supplemented by the occasional adorable thing we were given as a gift from Baby Gap, Target or Old Navy, or the Carters outlet near us. We've branched out a lot since then, though. Her current wardrobe contains:
Gymbo
Baby Gap
Janie & Jack
Hanna Andersson
Baby Lulu
Mullberribush
Biscotti (her Christmas outfit)
Catimini
Cakewalk
Dipaki and Du Pareil Au Meme (French brands I bought on ebay)
Nordstrom kids
Circo (Target brand)
and a few other brands I'd never even heard of before I bought them.

I'm also planning to make a few things for her winter wardrobe.
We get most of her clothes as gifts, from resale stores or off ebay, and it's rare that I pay full price for something. I'm definitely a bargain hunter. I used to be so obsessed with Gymbo and wanted Katie to have ALL of a certain line, but that go SO boring after a while! Now, I love that most of the outfits I put her in are unique to her - none of her friends are wearing the same thing.

I'm a sucker for Gymboree. Cute clothes, and they fit my tall, thin guy well. John also has a lot of Little Me, and a fair amount of Koala Baby.

Deborah, if you open that Just Boys store, I will totally shop there! :aok:
