Ok, any suggestions on getting a 2 year to take her medicine? I have tried bribbing with candy, mixing with foods, the dropper and just plain forceing it down. It is not fun! She was so good the other times she was sick, she would just take it!

have you tried different brands?

tony refuses anything red  i have to literally hold him down and force it. however, he will drink the clear motrin or motrin cold no problem!

No clue - Caroline is completely addicted to medicine. She'll take anything. Right now she's taking a sinus infection antibiotic that I think tastes like pink death, but she asks for it specifically with a big grin on her face.

I'm not a mom, so feel free to ignore this. Is there a pharmacy near you that will flavor the medicine for you? There's one near me that has a ton of different flavor options, and I think they might even flavor OTC medicine, but I'm not positive about that.

I feel for you! Micayla is the same way, especially with OTC drugs. I have to pretty much use a dropper and force it down. Have you tried giving it to her in a little cup and see if she'll take it that way. I find that sometimes that'll work better for Micayla b/c she can control how fast she drinks it.

Yeah, I tried the little dixie cup and even mixed it with juice. No go on that! So far I just keep doing the dropper and force thing and when she does not spit it up tell her what a big girl she is.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I guess there is just no easy way.

We have to hold Matthew down, put it in and then close his mouth so he doesn't spit it out. It's ridiculous!

Maggie will *usually* drink it from a cup if we give it to her. For some toddler reason, if we call it "special medicine" instead of just "medicine" she seems to be happioer about it. But then, special anything always goes over better with her.

We just say "Joe, it's time for your medicine" and he comes running over and opens his mouth. Sorry I can't be more help.
