Ok, is anyone a SAHM but does something partime for extra $? If so how much do you make and what is it? I have been trying to find something I can do from home for a little extra $ a month. I have been all over the net and it is just a joke! I did babysit a kid for about 2 months and that helped but he was sick the whole time and of course DD got it and I had pneonia in Dec because of it. I also sell a little on ebay, but have not found anything that is a consistent income. Any ideas? I have thought about like Tastefully simple or something along those lines but it seems like there are so many people doing it and then you have to depend on your friends and family to buy and have parties etc.

I sell Mary Kay and homemade jewelry, crafts and baby stuff. :dunno: As far as the money goes? It's great when people are buying

I sell Close to My Heart Rubber Stamping/Scrapbooking supplies. I love it and things are going really well. The products I sell pretty much sell themselves once people see them. :)

What do you like to do? What would you enjoy? Are you crafty? I have a website that may help:
http://www.cafewahm.com
I do a few things, and I don't make enough for us to live on, but I use what I make for "treats" like our anniversary weekend, etc. I have a wedding business (retail and some consulting), I also teach baby signing classes and now I am with Mother of Eden's MAD program. I can sell Fuzzi Bunz and other Mother of Eden products. It's great b/c I use the products anyway and am always asked about them. Finally, I am still technically active with The Body Shop at Home, though I don't really do much anymore. Too hard to get out with the new baby!

When it comes to direct sales, I always say to make sure you truly love and believe in the product. THen it's more like sharing your passion than pushing a product. I really believe in the companies I represent, so it's much easier. You are right, though, about making sure the market in your area isn't already saturated with reps. That can be a challenge!

Oh...I also do some web design. You may want to check out the SAHM/WAHM forum here.
