How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~We have been dealing with this for about 3 1/2 or so years. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2001. Donny also has "lazy" swimmers
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~As of now we aren't doing anything that is "high-tech", but we are starting to get into the groove of things again after just being OTL for a year and a half or so. I am temping right now and I am soon to be doing accupuncture on myself. I have a girlfriend who is a Chiropractor and and Accupunturist and she and I did it together once a few months ago. Since then my periods have been normal and I am showing signs of real Ovulation. I have never had EWCM before and last cycle I had it. So I am really hoping that with regular treatment that may work. Once we get our insurance situation situated, we are definately going back to our IUI's and such. OH, I also have a script for Metformin that I can start anyday...just need to get it filled. So hopefully we'll see some good results soon.
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies? This is a *really* tough issue with me. I have one girlfriend who is pg right now and it is sooo hard to watch her get bigger and hear about the baby kicking. The thing that bothers me the most is that she doesn't have one ounce of compassion for our situation. When we were going through the hardest part of this, and after our 3 failed IUI's I leaned on her for some support and I got none. All I heard about was how we didn't give them a gift for their wedding anniversary. So, I knew as soon as she got pg she'd rub it in my face. Well, she had me come and register w/ her at BRU on Saturday. I did it becasue she is totally clueless about kids and I wanted her to register for all that she needed, but it was tough. Then on Sunday her and her husband were here and I was copying some CD's for dave and she was gushing about the baby kicking. I told them that the CD-R thing was broke and I couldn't fix it. I jsut wanted them OUT of my house. I hated hearing about how the baby is kicking or how she is growing. I just can't deal with her being PG. It has been six months and I pretty much put up a happy front when dealing w/ her. So, that is one thing I still am dealing with.

How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~ Well I stopped taking the pill in January of 2003. Its been 15 months of crazy, anovulatory cycles and whacked bleeding patterns. I've been to a couple of OBGYNs where I had bloodwork and ultrasounds. Last week I met with a RE who explained that I have elevated levels of LH (luteinizing hormone).
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~ My RE prescribed progesterone to bring on a normal period. He also prescribed Clomid for TTC. We hope that works when we TTC this summer!
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies? Well I certainly have had to deal with it a lot. I can count ten or more friends and family members who have had babies or gotten pregnant in the past year. Although DH and I have planned to wait to TTC until this summer since we were married almost 4 years ago, it is still frustrating to see others get pregnant so easily. I feel like we've waited so long and worked so hard to get to the point in our lives financially and emotionally to have children that we deserve to not have trouble actually getting pregnant. I'm not exactly bitter and resentful to others with babies...but I do feel "broken" and have a lot of pity parties.

Shannon, I have those pitty parties myself. I am always asking why can't I have one when I'm so ready, but 13 year olds can when they clearly arent. Sometimes life isn't fair and it sucks. I really like the Clomid, I didn't really have any side-effects from it, I just turned into a major grouch the first time I took it. DH dubbed them my "bitch" pills. :rotflmao: Good luck, i'll definately be folloing along.

How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~3 years; I've been DXed with PCOS by a gynecologist, but the RE I went to said it's not. She says I just have cysts and problems ovulating. Uh, okay, in other words: PCOS!
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~Just taking BCPs so I'll have regular cycles, and the RE (not that I hold much respect for her opinions by now) thinks they might "jump start" ovulation. :dunno:
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies? Not very well. :blue: I get jealous, sad, and frustrated very easily. Hell, even my dumb, naive, weiner younger BIL (DH's little brother) who is 19, has a child on the way with his 18-year-old girlfriend! ARGH! :tearhair:

How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~ Since we started TTC in July of 2001. Me- PCOS, Him- Varicose vein on his testes
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~ I am losing weight. I have lost almost 32 pounds now. Once I am down 62 we will revisit TTC. We have done all but IVF and I am not ready for that step yet since our insurance does not cover that.
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies? I think I do ok. I adore babies so I can't help but love them. There is one particular baby that I have avoided like the plague because he was born just days after our angel baby was to be born. I feel pretty selfish about that.

I hope it's ok if I post here, I already have DD named Jordan who is 2. I got pregnant with her after taking Clomid for 4 months. We have been OPTL now since last June and nothing.
Your Name~ Christina
S.O's. Name~ Michael
How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~ well we delt with it before my first child for aobut 4 months before I went to my gynecologist because I never had a period. I had all my previous med records sent to him. I had been on BCP's since I was like 13 and everytime I went off of them I would either have a period for months or I wouldn't have one at all. He diagnosed me with PCOS and gave me clomid. I went to a RE In March of 2001. I was to finish that round of clomid and see if I got my period. If not they were going to do and HSG the next month. Well I was pregnant! Now after having Jordan we went back on BCP's probably could have saved my money =) Anyways I went off of them in June of last year. I've only had like 3 or 4 periods. Oh and DH has low swimmies count too :dunno:
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~ No treatment. just OTL. I think after I find out about when I will be able to actually start nursing school and when we move, we will probably try and do a bit more. Charting and probalby find out about Clomid again. I hope it's that easy next time.
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies?
I think since I already have a DD I do fine. Everytime I'm around a new baby or hold one, I get this surge and I really want to have another one now. But we shall see what happens down the road.

How long have you been dealing w/ IF and what is your diagnosis?~Diagnosed with PCOS 3 1/2 years ago.
What are you doing for treatments as of now?~ Within the next week or so I should start Gonal-F
Question~ How do you deal with having pregnant friends and/or friends with babies?I don't think of this often since I've been blessed with Jessica. Prior to that, I became emotional only when I saw a newborn being left behind a dumpster, or at the front doors of a hospital, etc. Then...I thought life is not fair....DH and I were struggling to conceive with so many other couples, why are these women bringing children into the world and not us.
