We just purchased a Maytag dishwasher and it is leaving spots on the glasses and seems to leave a white film. I am using Electasal gel packs and jet dry. Any ideas what is the problem.

My guess would be that maybe you have soft water and all the soap and rinse aids are not washing off. Have you called Maytag? That would be my next suggestion.... we have some maytag appliances and one of the reasons we bought them was because of their reputation.

We have to add a little bit of liquid dish soap in as well, which for some reason really cuts down on the spots. I only fill it up to the first line, though. Anymore and it causes more spots too. :dunno:

Otherwise I use Jetdry and the Electrosol 2 in 1 tablets.

My dad owns a division of Maytag so I can tell you that's not the prblem :biggrin: I'd try a different brand of dish soap. Or perhaps less than you are currently using. I know a lot of times, especially with laundry detergent, you can cut the amount of soap in half and that is all you really need to get the job done.

Do you have hard water??? We do and we had a problem with this too. We use gel dishwasher detergent and then we put this also in with the soap... it is called Lemon shine or something like that. It is right by the soaps. Try it...it worked for us. :)
